Rai could see the battle disappear quickly underneath him as he shot passed in the air. The landscape below changed faster than Rai could keep track of where he was. The ground was getting closer now. Shit.. I don't have no way to slow my crash.. A small cabin now came into view. Rai tried to shield himself from the impact as he went through the side of the cabin, leaving a large piece broken on the floor. He continued going until he crashed into the middle of the fireplace.
Rai gritted his teeth in pain as he stayed curled up in a ball. "Daddy, who is that strange flying man?" A little girl asked, pointing at Rai from the wooden table not that far from Rai; the girl's both and father looked at Rai, speechless from what just happened to their house, and their now broken fireplace. Rai stood up slowly, looking over at the family. "He is nobody, dear. He is just leaving." The girl's father said, looking at Rai threateningly. "I'm sorry," Rai muttered before exiting through the gap in the wall.
Rai looked around at the vast fields looming in front of him. Oh, I know where I am now.. A village stood nearby, townspeople walking along the dirt road making stops at markets and shops along the way. This is the place I first met Mara.. Rai stretched, he felt very sore after the crash landing. Rai decided to get some food supplies and first aids from the markets.
Damn it, they don't have any Blodyn Diafol.. Rai looked through almost all the stands to see if they had any, but had no luck. He felt all fidgety and was starting to have a major migraine. After he made one last look, Rai started to head off, making his way toward Meilyr. This is probably what they want to kill me. This is suicide, but I guess I could try talking to Jaison.. not that he will listen to me anyway..
Rai hoped that the walk could have been longer, but he made it into Meilyr territory by midnight. The moon shined brightly above, giving Rai a little bit of lightning in the thick tree canopy above. The evening sounds of the creatures in the forest seemed to calm Rai down some, but not the whole way.
He could see a light starting to become brighter as he made his way towards it. Two guards stood by, one on each side of the gate that led to the Meilyr village. May as well come out, instead of hiding...
Rai climbed out of the place he stood in the woods, coming into view of the guards. "It's Damien's Son!" Yelled one of the guards, who pointed a large, three pointed polearm at Rai. Rai raised his hands into the air slowly. "I mean no trouble.. I just want to talk to Jaison.." Rai said softly, keeping his eyes on the ground infront of him. The other guard came over, doing a full body check on Rai;he took his sword, and lightning enhancing ring from Rai.
"You didn't bring anyone else with you, did you?" One of the guards questioned, as the other searched around the edges of the woods quickly. Rai shook his head as they placed shackles on his wrists. Soon, both of the guards were forcefully sending Rai through the now opened gates.
An uproar started just as soon as Rai placed himself inside the Meilyr village. "You should have killed him at the gates, no questions asked!!" A woman shouted from the crowd. "He should not be here at all!! Did you fools forget what he did to Alaric!?" Yelled out someone else in the crowd. They just kept getting louder as the three made it up to the Great Hall. Some of the villagers began to throw rocks and anything they could get their hands on at Rai; he ignored most of the outbursts.
The guards forcefully pushed Rai through the large oak doors, then down the long hallways to Jaison's office quarters. Another guard stood infront of the door;they opened the door once they were close enough. Jaison sat at a large wooden hand carved desk; someone that Rai did not know, stood studying the map on the wall. Rai decided to keep his eyes on the ground.
"They said they wanted to come speak with you, My Lord, " one of the guards announced. "I see, you two may go back to your posts." Jaison responded, standing up from his chair. The guards bowed and then left Rai's side.
Whenever Rai brought his eyes up, Jaison was already punching him hard in the face. Rai stumbled back some, staying silent. "Why the hell are you here.. I could just kill you here and now if thats what you want." Jaison said. Rai restrained saying that was what he wanted. However he just stood up straight again. "I need your help, Jaison.."
Jaison laughed bitterly at this. "DO YOU REALLY BELIEVE I WOULD HELP YOU AFTER ALL THE SHIT YOU DID!?"
Jaison screamed, slaming his fist down on the wooden desk. "I shouldn't even hear you out, what do you think?.." Jaison grabbed Rai's shirt collar, forcing him to look at him. Jaison's blue eyes looked like they were torn between two choices, sorrow and rage filled up inside them. A sharp pain went through Rai's stomach, as Jaison drove a dagger through him."Damien sent you didn't he? He needs his pet to run errands for him, huh?" Jaison continued as Rai kneeled down slowly. "If you tell the truth, you may live through this." The man near the map spoke up facing the two. "Who are you?" Rai asked. Instead of getting an answer from them, Jaison kicked Rai in the jaw. "You won't be asking the questions." Jaison growled. "Eh they're allowed to ask that only question, My Lord. My name is
Rydel," they said, looking over at a annoyed Rai."This dagger will go further into your system if you tell any lies." Rydel explained. Rai sat up some from where he knelt, looking up at the two. "Ask me anything.." Rai announced;he was expressonless as he said this.
"Why did you come to me, to us Meilyr? Even after you killed so many of us?" Jaison demanded. Rai thought over the question carefully. I don't want to figure out whether or not this dagger is a bluff, so i must not rush this.. "I came back because.. I believe you will be able to help me, I have no one else to trust more than Meilyr.. I regret all that I've done to you and your people.. I understand if you don't forgive me.." Rai replyed. The dagger did nothing.
"How did you get out of Zlephia?" Jaison asked, sitting down at their desk, looking down at Rai warily. "I was able to escape, making my way from a small village- argh"
The dagger began to press its way farther into Rai's stomach, by what seemed an imaginary hand. "How did you really escape from Damien?" Jaison sighed.
"Damien and I struck a deal..in a year, I will need to go back and try to face him...Jaison, you know I am dead where I stand right now, if I even tried to face Damien head on... That's why I need your help.." Rai replyed looking up at Jaison. They looked at each other for a few moments. Jaison looked down at his hands on his desk, looking away from Rai's gaze.
"You are right.. If you even tried going up against Damien head on.. You would be dead on the first five minutes.." Jaison sighed. "I beleive you.. Rydel, would you take the dagger out of Rai now?" The man nodded, walking over to Rai, taking the dagger out of him quickly. Rai felt much better after that, like some type of large weight was lifted off of his shoulders.
"I may be able to help you get back home Rai. Your actual home, someone would be waiting there for you, however.." Jaison announced, standing up. Rai stood to his feet, looking at Jaison with a look of shock and surprise on his face. "Follow me.." Jaison ordered, leaving the room, leaving Rai speechless. I may actually be able to get out of here..
