Chapter twenty four

MIA

Weeks passed and prom was 4 days away, I didn't want to go but Lexi and rose made me agree.

Today was the day i was supposed to go dress shopping, i woke up early and went for a run because i felt like i needed fresh air.

As i was returning home i saw Liam crying. "Hey little guy what is wrong?" I asked as i approached him, "Xander is angry with me and i-.." something behind me made him stop, he was scared, i back and found a strange guy, "Liam can you run really quickly??" I whispered to Liam trying to act normal, he just nodded and now we are sprinting until we are at the diner at the end of the street and we saw this man still running, I thanked god that we are still safe.

I told Liam that i will call his brother to come and get him.

A waitress came by our table, "if you are going to stay you have to order" she told us, "okay bring me a coffee and an ice cream" i said as she wrote our oder and walked away, few minutes went by and Xander finally arrived, i was half through my coffee while Liam already finished his ice cream, "hey are you both okay?!" Xander asked panting, Liam nodded as he went and hugged his brother.

"My friend will come and get us because my car is with him" Xander said, i just nodded as i continue sipping on my coffee.

Liam was fast asleep after 10 mins and it we were left sitting in awkward silence, "how have you been?" Xander asked, i smiled ay him, "i have been good and you?" I don't know what is wrong we are talking like it is the first time we meet.

His phone dinged with a notification, "my friend is here lets go" he said as he held Liam in his hands.

What!!! Jace!!

"What are you doing here?" Jace said as he saw me, "well i should ask you the same since this is my neighbor hood" i told him, "do you know each other?" Xander asked, we both looked at him as if he grew four heads, "she was my brother's best friend" jace told him his voice breaking through the sentence.

We went inside jace's car and he drove us to the house.

I started walking towards my home, "Mia" Xander called, i looked at him as if to say what, "why don't you ask about what is going on?", "because I learned to stay in my business" i told him as I entered my house.

The rest of the day went fast.

Actually i wanted to really ask what is happening but why every time i get into something not that important to me i lose myself more than losing any one else.

The next day i saw Liam was playing in the backyard,
He looked peaceful how can he be okay with what is happening to him right now, he is always followed by men who wants go kidnap him, this is not a safe childhood.
