A few moments later, Lorena and Benji continued to stare off into the distance of her garden, watching Mateo and his boyfriend hash things out. She was beginning to get a little bit impatient, tapping her foot on the ground while a solid knot began to form in the pit of her throat.

"Lori, it's fine. He'll be alright," Benji reassured her, watching as his best friend tensed up at whatever was going through that head of hers.

The truth was, Lorena couldn't relax. She knew things were not going to be alright after this, no matter how Mateo returned back into this castle. If they continued to be together, that mean there had to be more deceiving, more lies, and more sneaking around with Ross, and quite frankly she really was hoping to find some way out of this never-ending tunnel. But if he came back in here broken-hearted, which seemed like the most likely option considering how closely she was watching Mateo being shouted at, then it could also come out one way or another. Mateo would be distraught, and her parents would soon pick up on things and realize there might've been an extra person in this equation, TWO in this case.

And lastly, she couldn't bare the thought of Mateo having his heart broken. He never deserved that, and this was never part of the plan. They were supposed to successfully be able to sneak behind her mother's back, spending time with the one person they would rather be spending their time with. But instead, she would be the only one to say she got what she wanted in the end, and that was not fair.

Mateo's arms tensed up a few meters away. His green veins introduced themselves along with his muscular arms as he brought his hands into two strong fists, struggling to even look up at his boyfriend who was standing just a few paces away from him. Lorena wish she could know exactly what Rafael was telling him, but she was forced to leave her  imagination do the talking.

"What do you think he's saying to him?" Lorena finally muttered out, her grey eyes locked on her friend through the glass. "Should we stop them?"

"Absolutely not. They seem to be really going at it out there. Do you know what they're fighting about?" Benji asked, almost hesitating to ask her while keeping his hands on her shoulders. He placed his head on the top of hers, resting in this position as he watched this couple break up like it was a scene in a movie.

He felt Lorena move under himself. She brought her eyes down, flickering them down to her feet as a small tear wept away from them. She tried to blink a few times, trying to stop any more tears  from falling down. "Me."

Benji didn't say anything, instead he just nodded and took a deep breath out. When they both brought their attentions back to the breakup scene, Mateo was already storming out of the garden and back inside the castle.

Mateo charged past them, entering the castle and shoving through the long halls to the back door. They heard him leave, slamming the door behind him, and leaving his two friends shocked by this outcome.

Rafael came running out a few seconds after, calling after him. He stopped at the doorway upon noticing how Lorena and Benji were looking at him with concerned expressions.

"What?" He demanded, causing the princess to jump a little in her stance. She felt so bad knowing that her concerns were true. "He chose to leave. Don't look at me that way."

Beji released his hold from Lorena, moving back and placing both of his hands on his hips. "What do you mean? We saw the whole thing play out there, man. Are you alright?"

He tried to place a reassuring hand on Rafael's shoulder, but the boy brushed it off, shaking his head at the thought of Benji being concerned about his wellbeing. "I'm alright."

Rafael turned to Lorena, the girl who was looking through the strands of hair that fell above her eyes, feeling completely responsible for everything that just went down. "Thank you for letting me into your home, Princess. I'm sure you thought you were doing a good thing, and I'm sorry if he dragged you into all of this. I'm moving back to Portugal tomorrow, so you probably won't see me again. But it was a pleasure to meet you, Lorena."
