Ross and Lorena swayed back and forth as they danced with each other in the magical ballroom in the castle. The boy couldn't even keep his head down from staring up at the beautiful scenery around them.

Sometimes he hated working at the castle. Long hours, being on his feet all day, and basically having to work almost every day for the monarchy that he wasn't even sure he believed in. The only reason why he continued to show up to work everyday was because of the beautiful Latina shining right through his eyes.

"Okay, now spin me but stay on beat. This is the most important part, Ross," Lorena guided him as they danced to one of her favorite Spanish songs. "You have to get this right for future balls."

Ross, being the skilled dancer he was, spun her around perfectly on beat. He held onto her hands, spinning her around and grasping her waist right in front of him, staring down at her soft grey eyes as they sparkled at him. "That was great," she complimented him, smiling through her rosy cheeks. "Where did you learn that from?"

"Oh, you know," He shrugged, trying to pull this off nonchalantly. "Rydel has been teaching dance lessons since she was about 14 and I've managed to learn a thing or two. My mother also put me in some dance lessons here and there, along with the rest of my brothers."

Lorena laughed as she mentally pictured Ross and his three brothers in dance uniform amongst a group of girls. "Oh really? Now, that proves it. You're basically skilled at everything."

Ross put his head down, scratching the back of his blonde head of hair. "Not everything, princess."

"Like what?" She asked, crossing her arms over the other as she sat by one of the tables. "You can dance, you used to sing and play instruments, and you're a pretty good actor."

He laughed, walking over to stand beside her as he threw his arm around Lorena's shoulders. "A good actor? Where did you get that idea from?"

Her tiny fingers held onto his hand as it dangled from her shoulder. She used this as the perfect moment to intertwine their fingers together, rubbing her thumb against him and sending him small butterflies throughout his entire body. Ross was a softy when it came to the princess' touch.

"You basically acted like you didn't like me this whole time. And you magically don't hate Mateo anymore," She replied back in a mocking tone, raising her eyebrows at him before giggling.

He held his free hand up to his heart, pretending to be hurt by this accusation. "I did not act like I didn't like you. I did, I just didn't like that you were with Mateo."

"Well, I was never with him. He's just a great friend," She stated, smiling at the thought of her friendship with Mateo in her head.

"A better friend than Benji?" Ross fired back. He was eager to know the answer to this question for a while now.

She slapped his chest, shaking her head at this. "Of course not. They're both great for different reasons. For example, I could really get in my feels with Mateo. Do you know how many times him and I cried over how much I liked you and how I could never be with you? Then he would just cry with me about his long distance relationship. We're a perfect match in that way. Meanwhile, Benji would never let me see him cry. He isn't an emotional person."

Ross nodded, agreeing with her statement. "I don't even think I've seen him cry ever. I've known him since kindergarten and he didn't even cry then. I cry once in a while. I personally think it's okay to show some tears from time to time, especially when you're really down bad. Sometimes you just got to let it out."

Ross' mind flashed back to when he was in a darker place just a month ago. He came to work everyday, worrying about his mother being in the hospital and just how he was going to be able to cope with the circumstances if anything had ever happened to her. His mother was the light of his family's life. He wasn't quite ready to deal with that possibility yet, and he doesn't know if he'll ever be.
