Princess Lorena Castillo hunched over to place her skates on her feet. They were beautiful gold skates with white blades that she has had for a few years now. She wobbled over her carpeted floor, practicing before finally giving it a go.

She placed her AirPods in her ears, searching for the perfect song to play to get her creative juices flowing. It was two days after she had seen Ross in front of the castle, his blonde hair merely blending into the rest of the crowd, but she new it was him right away.

Okay, so she had a little crush? No big deal, girls have crushes all the time.

Girls probably have 5 or 6 crushes every year, but not Lorena. This was her first crush since she had met Benji at the age of 16. And that quickly backfired after he posted a picture of him kissing a blonde haired girl at school.

The sides of her lips curved up into a small smile while thinking about Ross. The princess had hoped he would be blushing at the thought of her too someday.

Her fingers landed on the most perfect 80s song, "Time After Time" by Cyndi Lauper. She moved her head in the direction of the music, still smiling, and opened the door into the rest of the castle.

Lorena glided through the empty hallways and pictures of family members she had never seen a day in her life. There were sculptures, paintings, and even a case for every single tiara ever worn by a princess or queen in her family. She stopped to admire them for a bit. There was an empty space labeled, "Queen Isabel Castillo," for her grandmother who was facing the last few years of her life. Lorena gulped at the thought of her name being there in a few decades, but there was enough time before then.

But, she continued her way skating through the halls. There was enough time to worry about the future, but for right now her mind was only occupied on one thing. She slid down the railing of one of the staircases, welcoming herself through the first floor of the castle where servants roamed through the halls and corridors.

"He dropped my dinner, Flora. It's all over my new dress and shoes. I want that young man out of here!" Princess Sofia snapped at her steward, the lady of the castle in charge of management. Flora flinched as Sofia got closer, shaking as Lorena's mother screamed down at her.

"Yes, your highness. I'll start looking for a new servant right away!" Flora returned, looking down onto her clipboard and pressing the ear piece into her ears.

Lorena removed one of her AirPods, hiding behind a pole just a few steps away. She hoped to god they weren't talking about Benji.

A young man, just above the age of 16, walked out of the room with his head down. He was crying silently and walking over to retrieve his belongings. Sophia scoffed right past him, entering another room. Flora placed her hand on the boy's shoulder, frowning down at him. "I'm sorry, boy. It didn't work out. We wish you the best of luck out there," the older woman apologized before sending the boy away and out the door.

Lorena sighed before putting her AirPods back in and continuing her journey around the castle.

Another week, another servant.

She thought, making her way into the dining room to sit down for dinner. She figured it would be best to eat dinner now since her mother had decided to skip dinner, considering at the circumstances of her dress. Lorena didn't really care, she tried not to eat dinner with her mother as often as she could. Plus, If she waited long enough until Benji's shift was over, she could eat dinner with him instead.

Lorena looked down onto her watch and smirked. He should be ending any minute now.

The younger princess sat all alone at the huge dining table. A waiter probably around the same age as the other boy entered, holding Lorena's plate over his shoulder. He placed the food down onto the table in front of her. The smell of the perfectly made grilled chicken and rice filled her nostrils, giving her possibly one of the only boosts of serotonin she could have all day.
