The princess dreamed of making music with her new boyfriend in her garden. The sky was bright and the sun showed down onto her tan skin. The birds were chirping overhead and the clouds were forming into images that have been flooding her mind recently; guitars, microphones, and of course an image of two people kissing.

A smile appeared upon her sleepy lips as she wrapped her arms around a familiar bicep under the covers. This was her second time sleeping with Ross, and she was taking in every single moment of it. The way he would curl his finger around her hair in his sleep, how his hand would lay over her belly trying to hold her closer than she already was.

They heard a small knock on her bedroom door, loud enough to wake Ross up immediately. He jolted out of his sleep, clutching onto the satin yellow fabric of her duvet covers over his bare skin. He shook Lorena awake, disappointed in himself for ruining her perfect state. "Princess, there's somebody at the door."

The knock came again harder, making Lorena twitch upwards before sitting up against the headboard. Ross quickly tippy toed out of bed, trying to find his shirt on the carpeted floor. The sound came again 10x harder before a hand wrapped itself around the knob, opening the door for them to see Ross throwing his black shirt over his head.

"Mami- I can explain!" Lorena was already shouting out, shielding herself with the covers. But to her surprise, it wasn't her parents. It was her grandmother.

She covered her eyes with her hands, not wanting to take a single step into her granddaughter's room. "Abuela!" Lorena shrieked, her feet landing onto the ground as she rushed over to the door. "Abuela.... it's not what it looks like I swear!"

"Whatever it is Lorena, I do not want to know. Can I see you out in the garden please?" Her grandmother stated with her hands still over her eyes. "And Ross, is it? Can you please put on some clothing and get started on your shift. It is past due your arrival time and Flora has been pacing these hallways since 8am, young man."

Ross struggled to put his feet into his jeans, finally getting them over his thighs as he nodded intently, turning around as he zipped up his fly.

"Okay Abuela, I'll be there. I'm sorry you had to see that," Lorena answered back quickly, putting her head down in shame. "Just give me a few minutes to freshen up, and please don't tell Papi!"

"Not with that boy, I hope!" Abuela fired back, beginning to walk down the hall towards her room. "I will see you soon."

Lorena waited until her grandmother was at least halfway down the hall before shutting the door and locking it behind her. She took a few deep breaths, hyperventilating over what just happened. "God, how could I have been so careless? She's going to tell my father. I know she is." As ridiculous as that was, Lorena wondered why her grandmother didn't make a bigger deal out of it. I mean, she just found out her granddaughter's servant boyfriend had spent the night and probably has been for a while now. What the heck was going on?

"Don't say that! I think your grandmother likes me anyways. She does... doesn't she? She is the Queen, and I can't have somebody like the Queen not liking me, Lori. This- this has to be okay, right?" Ross asked, sitting by the bed and putting on his sneakers.

Lorena smiled in between her deep breaths, laughing a little bit at his demeanor because she felt the same exact way. She ran a hand through her curly hair, feeling like her heart was about to leap out of her chest and swim across the pacific ocean. "I hope so. Who knows what she'll think of us after this."

Ross tried to shrug, his adam's apple moving slightly downwards and he straightened out his jawline. "We weren't doing anything, princess. Just sleeping. That's what we'll tell her. And if she wants to banish me out to live in the dungeon or something, then so be it. This is just my luck after getting back into music."
