It was later on during the day where Lorena and Sophia sat down for a little "talk" in the dining room. The servants, including Benji, were busy cleaning up the ballroom after the banquet. Lorena couldn't help but to feel bad for her friend, but she knew her family had provided him a great deal of opportunities and money. She still helped him out whenever she could, but her mother was taking up a lot of her free time at the moment.

"Is this going to take long? I want to go help Benji in the other room..." Lorena complained, sitting at the edge of her cushioned seat.

Sophia took another sip out of her Starbucks cup and groaned. "Honey, I'm serious. You have gotten way out of control here. For example, princesses don't help the servants."

Lorena squinted at her mother, crossing her leg over the other. "Actually, princesses do help people. Servant or not. And you're talking about me wanting to change? You're literally sipping tea made from the kitchen that you forced them to put in your Starbucks cup, just to seem on trend!"

Her mother slammed the cup down onto the dining table and exhaled a deep breath, holding her first thoughts in. "This conversation is not about me. It's about you and what we're going to do about this," she said, gesturing her hands in the air around her daughter, clearly insulting her.  "Your father is coming back in just two months. He's not going to be to happy about this. I'm so close to telling your grandmother, you're leaving me no choice."

The younger girl opened her mouth in shock at the thought of her grandmother finding out about any of the new changes she's been trying to implement in the past few months.

Since you're new here, let me catch you up on what she's been trying to do:

1. Stop the servants from addressing her as "your highness" and bowing to her each time she entered the room (because she feels that nobody is above anybody here).

2. Not wearing dresses or skirts everyday simply just because she was a "princess" (if royal men could wear anything they wanted, why couldn't she?)

and...

3. Trying to indulge in the societal norms of a twenty-one year old in the 21st century. This includes but is not limiting to: having social media, traveling without her security service, watching media that does not pertain to anything royal or news related, and most importantly, having political views.

"Mom, you wouldn't..." Lorena muttered through her shiny teeth.

Princess Sophia crossed her leg over the other, mimicking her daughter's position, and smirked. "Try me, nena."

Lorena grounded her stance onto the ground and stood up fiercely. She scurried out of the room with her heels still on, without looking back to witness her mother letting out a long exasperated breath. Her footsteps clinked on the floors to the long empty corridors and hallways. The gold and red accents shined on the princess. The colors in the castle made it very clear they came from Latin roots.

She finally made it to the ballroom where Benji was one of the last servants in the room, still cleaning up and removing all of the chairs. He had two AirPods in his ears, singing along and giving a very theatrical performance. He was just in the middle of a spectacular dance number, ending it with some jazz hands and a twist. The princess creeped up behind him and picked his feet up lightly from the ground before shaking him.

"Aha!" She shrieked, putting her friend down. His AirPods fell onto the floor, making the sound echo around the empty ballroom.

Benji placed a startled hand on his heart, trying to steady his breath. "Are you kidding me, I was in the middle of the most perfect move," he breathed, his chest moving up and down slightly.
