Dustin left and it was now time for me to leave to the party as well. I heard Steve honk outside, as I took one last glance at the mirror.
Hot. I'm good to go.
"Mom, Steve's outside, I'll see you tomorrow!" I said opening the door.
"Okay, bye sweetie!" She said from the leaving room.
"Bye mom!" I said again while closing the door.
I walked up to Steve's car and got in the back.
"Hello, everybody!" I said cheerful.
"Hey, Mavis! I see you chose the vampire look. Good choice." Steve said patting my head gently since he was in the driver's seat.
"Hey! I agree, you look great, Mavis!" Nancy said giving me a big smile.
"Thanks, girl! I appreciate it." I said winking at her making them laugh.
"Let's go?" Steve asked us and we nodded our heads.
During the ride to the party, I sensed a weird tension in the car, but decided against talking about it. They probably just had a stupid little fight before picking me up. We got to the house full of drunk and dressed up teenagers. Oh, so fun. No joke, I love parties.
We walked inside and I spotted the kitchen. I wanted something other than punch to start off my night.
I grabbed a beer and a can opener and let's just say that I was not the best at opening things. Unfortunately for me, someone noticed that. Someone very, very, very annoying.
"Need some help over there, princess?" He asked me. I groaned and turned around. I think I might've stared at him for too long. His blond mullet was looking flawless, he was only wearing a black leather jacket with nothing underneath so everyone could see his toned abs, and I bet his black pants made his ass- WAIT HOLD THAT THOUGHT, what the fuck was I thinking?!
I think he noticed I was checking him out, because when our eyes met again, he was giving me his knowing look.
"Were you just checking me out?" He asked teasingly.
"No. Now tell me, Cali. Did you by any chance almost run over 3 kids on your way home?" I asked him, angrily.
"How the hell did you- oh... OH! One of them was your brother, wasn't it?" He said as if he was disappointed with himself.
"Yes. And even if my brother wasn't there, the other two are my brothers almost as much as Dustin is." I said glaring at him.
"I'm sorry, I don't know what came over me. I guess I just wanted to piss off me sister." He said honestly.
"Did you not find anything else besides almost killing 3 kids?" I asked in disbelief.
"Not at the moment." He said giving a funny smile, making me shake my head. "I promise I'll never do it again." He said cheekily.
"You better, because if I find out that you did something like that again, I will run you over myself. Are we clear?" I asked him sternly and he just nodded, a bit surprised with my attitude. "Good. Now, were you or were you not offering your help?" I asked him, pointing at the beer can.
"Give me that." He said chuckling. I gave him the can and he opened it no apparent struggle. Bitch.
"Thank you." I said as he handed me the can.
"Wow, first time I hear you say that." He says kind of surprised.
"Wow, first time you do something nice." I said giving him a sarcastic smile. "If you excuse, I'm going to dance now." I said walking past him. He then grabbed my wrist and turned me around.
