"He likes it cold." Joyce said once we were all in Will's room.

"What?" Hopper asked.

"He liked it cold. That's what Will kept saying to me." Joyce clarified. "We keep giving him what he wants." She said as she closed the window.

"If this is a virus, and will's the host, then..."

"Then, we need to make the host uninhabitable." Jonathan added, finishing Nancy's sentence. Cute.

"So if he likes it cold..." Nancy continued.

"We need to burn it out of him." Joyce finished. Oh, boy.

"We have to do it somewhere he doesn't know this time." Mike said.

"Yeah, somewhere far away." Dustin added.

"Why are you letting her close the gate?" I asked Hopper after he finished putting Will into the car.

"Because right now she has more experience than you. She was training with 009 these past few days and she told me that she learned new things. Besides, I need you here to take care of the kids." (let's pretend that Hopper and Eleven already had the talk they have in the car)

"Steve can take care of them."

"Does Steve have powers?" He asked me with raised eyebrows.

"No..."

"My point exactly."

We stood there in silence for a few seconds before I pulled him into a hug.

"I swear to God, if anything happens to you or her, I will personally bring you back from the dead, so I can kill you again." I told him and he chuckled.

"Don't worry, kid. No one else's is dying today." He said reassuringly.

"Okay. Good luck."

After saying my goodbyes to El, and shredding a couple more tears, the house got empty, leaving only Dustin, Lucas, Max, Mike, Steve and I. What a fun night.

Dustin decided to empty Joyce's fridge, so Steve could put the dead demo-dog inside.

"It should fit now.

"Dustin you're so stupid sometimes." I said rolling my eyes.

"Is this really necessary?" Steve asked disgusted.

"Yes, it is, okay? This is a ground-breaking scientific discovery."

"Who you can't tell anyone about. Hm... makes perfect sense." I said sarcastically while Steve snickered.

"Look, we can't just bury it like some common mammal, okay? It's not a dog."

"Alright, alright." Steve said sighing.

"Good luck explaining Joyce why she has not food, but a dead demo-dog in her fridge." I told them.

"You're telling Mrs. Beyers." Steve told Dustin as he put the animal inside. "Help me out."

"Get the door, man."

"The door, okay." Dustin said, grabbing the door, waiting for Steve to put the animal completely inside so they could close the door.

"I feel gross." Steve said as he turned to me.

"I can see that." I said and flipped me off before taking his jacket off and wrapping an arm around my shoulders.
