I was walking through a dark street. The sky was dark red and there were white things floating around. I stopped walking when I heard crying. A familiar cry...

I walked, searching for the source, when I saw a person, facing it's back to me.

"Hello?" I called.

The cries started to get louder and more urgent.

"Billy?" I asked.

He turned around slowly and looked at me. I had never seen Billy like this... He just looked so... broken.

"Billy?" I asked as I felt my eyes burning.

"Mavis?" He asked as a smile appeared in his lips. "It's not my fault... I didn't mean to." He cried.

"Baby, it's okay. Just tell me what's going on... Please." I pleaded as I stepped closer to him.

"Help me, Mavis... please, help me. I can't take it anymore." He said crying as we were almost touching.

As we were about to hug, I woke up.

I was so confused.

What was going on? Was Billy really talking to me, or was that a stupid dream?

Our conversation kept replaying in my head while I went to make myself a cup of coffee.

"Good morning, sweetheart." My mom told me.

"Morning, mom." I said walking towards the machine.

"Have you seen Dustin? I haven't seen him at all in two days..." My mom said sadly.

"Yeah, he's with Steve. You know, just compensating the time he was away." I lied. I did not know what Dustin or Steve were up but didn't mean I wouldn't cover up for them.

"Must be it, then." She said dismissively. "Well, I'm going to work. Will you be fine, honey?"

"Yes, mom, I'll be fine. Have a good day." I said as she placed a kiss on my head.

"Thanks, sweetie, you too!" She said before leaving.

I sighed as she left. I love her, I do, but sometimes I just want some peace and quiet.

As I was pouring the coffee on my mug, I heard Lucas from my walkie-talkie.

There goes my peace and quiet.

"This is Lucas. Do you copy? This is a code red." He said. "I repeat, this is a code red."

"Maybe if I just ignore it, it stops talking?" I asked myself.

"Mavis. Do you copy?" He asked again.

"Nope, didn't think so either." I sighed before grabbing the walkie-talkie.

"Yes, this is Mavis and yes, I do copy." I told them.

"Finally! What the hell took you so long?!" He asked me.

"I just wanted some peace, alright? Sue me." I rolled my eyes.

"I'm afraid you're not gonna get it." Mike said.

"Mike? What do you mean?" I asked worriedly.

"Something bad is happening, Mavis. I can't really explain over the walkie-talkie. Come to my house. We're gonna call Max and El too." Mike told me.

"Okay. Give me 20 and I'll be there." I said before turning it off.

I quickly drank my coffee, got dressed, brushed my hair and my teeth and left.
