"Mavis!" Steve exclaimed, calling me to reality.

I guess I got some kind of déjà vu there... crazy.

"Sorry, I'm here." I said reassuringly. Steve placed his hand on my shoulder and looked at me worriedly.

"Max's back." Dustin said breathless, catching our attention.

"Max, are you okay? What happened?" I quickly asked, kneeling in front of her.

"H-He called for me..." She said scared.

"He as in..." Steve asked.

"Vecna." Max nodded.

"Well, shit." Dustin muttered.

"Robin and Nancy are on their way so, let's wait for them before do something stupid." Steve said.

"I agree." I nodded.

Steve grabbed my arm gently and pulled me aside.

"Are you okay? You spaced out back there. For a second, I thought it was the same as Max." He told me.

"Oh, no. This... was weird. It was like I was reliving a memory." I told him.

"Which memory?" Steve asked.

"When I escaped from the lab." I told him.

Steve went quiet for a few seconds. He knew how hard it was for me to talk about and relive those moments.

"You never told me about it." He said softly.

"I escaped with the help of a friend, Peter, he worked in the lab. Before I escaped, I said, 'we're screwed' and he said, 'no, we're not', so I guess that just gave me déjà vu. And I don't usually talk about him ,because he's dead." I told him.

"I'm sorry, Mav..." Steve said hugging me.

"It's fine. It's in the past anyways. I guess I was just shocked because I haven't relived those days in a long time, you know?" I asked.

"Yeah, I get it." He said rubbing my back.

"I'm scared for Max." I whispered to Steve. "I-If she's next I..." I sighed. "I don't even know what I'll do."

"Gotta think positive, Mavis. Manifest those positive energies, isn't that the shit you're always telling me about?" He asked.

"Yeah, it is." I said smiling slightly.

"It's time to follow your own advice, okay?" He asked softly.

"Okay." I nodded.

"We're here! We're here!" Robin exclaimed breathless as she and Nancy walked in running.

After everyone settled down, Max told us what she saw. She told us that she heard Vecna call for her, and that she saw a grandfather clock on a wall in the school.

"I'll show you right now, come on." She said getting up from her chair.

We all followed her and ended up looking at a plain wall.

"It was here... Right here." Max said pointing her flashlight to where the clock should be.

"A grandfather clock?" Nancy asked.

"It was so real..." Max said shocked. "And then, when I got closer, suddenly, I just... I woke up."

"It was like she was in a... trance or something." Dustin told them. "Exactly what Eddie said happened to Chrissy."

"And-" Steve started.

I looked at him, beggingly, so he wouldn't comment with them my little déjà vu. It was nothing special and they would start worrying for no reason.
