Chapter 24- let go

~3rd POV~
"Oh my? Are you my knight in shining armor?" Sana got really close to y/n.

"No no!" Y/n swatted Sana away while having a blush across her face. Although y/n was embarrassed she didn't exactly hate being called a knight in shining armor...

"So now what do we do?" Sana let go of y/n's arm and walked towards the man on the ground. She checked his pulse and unfortunately he was still alive.

"Well since he tried to harm us let me call Mike so we can take him to jail." Y/n rubbed her forehead and went to her house phone.

As soon as y/n left the room, Sana looked into his pockets to find any information. Since he knows who Billy is, he's probably involved in the group that killed my parents...What if he was the one who killed them? Nah, he wouldn't be that careless.

Sana finally found a piece of paper in his jacket and slipped it into her jeans.

"Billy..." Sana heard the man whisper and she looked at him confused.

"Who's Billy?" Sana got on the ground and leaned closer to him.

"He's gonna kill me..." he said in a breathy voice while opening his eyes.

"Yah! Mike is coming over to take him to the station!" Y/n suddenly yelled which startled Sana. She thought that y/n saw her digging for clues.

"Ah ok!" Sana smiled back and waited with y/n until Mike arrived.  He came in and tried to handcuff the man but he started resisting.

"Hey! Hey what are you doing?" Mike furrowed his eyebrows and tried to strain him.

"HE'S GOING TO KILL ME! I"M DOOMED!" He shrieked and flailed his arms, which hit Mike in the face.

"What are you doing?" Y/n reached out for the man but he pushed her back and started panicking.

"I... I need to get outta here! I'm going to die!" He started breathing really hard and looking around. He then pulled a knife and grabbed Sana. He pulled the knife to her neck which caused y/n and Mike to raise up their hands. Sana thought to herself before coming up with an idea.

"Is it Billy?" Sana said to him. Mike and y/n looked at Sana with a confused face but the man looked as if he just shit his pants.

"NO! HE'S GONNA KILL ME!" His face turned pale and his body was shaking. He shook his head no multiple times before pushing Sana to the ground and running out the house. Y/n quietly ran to Sana's aid as she was on the ground.

"HEY!" Mike yelled but Sana stopped him.

"Let him go. Something in my gut says to do that." Sana replied. Mike looked at her with a concerned face before agreeing with her.

"Well let's report him to the station." Mike rubbed his forehead and they all walked to his car.

"Sana are you coming with us?" Y/n turned to Sana as she was entering Mike's car.

"No no! I'm fine! I'll stay home!" Sana scratched her forehead but she paused.

"Actually I'll go." Sana just had an idea that could benefit her situation. Y/n was confused at Sana's sudden decision change but nodded along.

"Why did you change your mind?" Mike asked Sana as they drove to the station.

"Well I would like to report a missing bracelet. Some guy tried to rob me at a club and I think he stole it." Sana explained to Mike and he nodded his head.

"Did anything else happen?" He asked.

"No but I'm sure that he took it from me." Sana eyed the man next to her, who was now handcuffed and slumped against the window. Sana's lips formed into a smile as she thought to herself.

The group arrived at the station and the man would be interrogated as soon as he would awaken. Meanwhile Sana told her story to one of her irrelevant coworkers.

"Yeah it was back on Friday when I went to the club. I was a little tipsy when some guy brought me out to the ally and tried to rob me! I was able to fight back and walk away when y/n found me and picked me up. I didn't realize that he took my bracelet until today!" Sana explained and they nodded.

"Do you remember what he looked like?"

"Umm. He was a blonde, kinda red and sweaty like a pig. I think he was around Mike's age... Ugh I can't remember! His name was like Don?" Sana pretended to struggle with remembering him. She obviously knew but she would play clueless because it's more fun that way.

"Alright we'll be on the look for him." Her coworker replied.

Sana went to the vending machine to see the two waiting for her. They all made their way to Mike's car as he would drive them home

"Are you sure you want to go home alone?" Mike asked Sana and she nodded.

"Do you need me to help with your arm?" Y/n asked and Sana shook her head.

"No no I'm all good. I'll see you later!" Sana got out the car and walked into her apartment.

"Good grief!" Sana removed the sling from her arm and stretched it out. It was annoying having to wear a fake cast. She locked every door and window in her house just to be sure. It would've been horrible if something was to happen again and she was alone.

"Well atleast I have two weeks off." Sana sat on the couch, turned the tv on and ate a popsicle. As long as nothing else happens, her off time should be peaceful.

~The next morning~

Sana woke up on the couch with the popsicle stick stuck to her face and loud thunder.

"Ugh what the hell?" Sana groaned and removed the stick from her face. When did I fall asleep?

She looked up at the tv to see a chaotic situation on the news.

"The victims have been found on Canterbrook lane..." the news reporter continued to talk but was being drowned out due to the loud sirens and rain in the background

Sana rubbed her eyes and started watching the news.

"Two of the victims have been identified as Don Jennings and Ben Alderman." The news reporter said and the pictures of them were shown on the screen.

"Oh shit." Sana's eyes widened as she saw their pictures. She got up and went to the phone. He was right about dying? But who would kill him? Was it Billy? But who the hell is Billy?

Sana dialed y/n's number, anticipated to tell her what happened, when she started to hear banging on her door.

"Huh?" Sana dropped the phone and grabbed a knife. The banging continued as her power suddenly went out.

"What the fuck?" Sana gasped and pointed her knife out. Someone had to be playing games with her right now. She stood in silence as the banging stopped and she could only hear the loud rain.

Sana quickly opened the door to see that no one was there. She furrowed her eyebrows and looked outside, but not a single person was out. Huh??
