~Y/N's POV~
We arrived at the crime scene and there was Helen who was balling her eyes out."The mayor drowned?? How the hell did that happen?" Mike asked Helen and she was too busy crying and was shrugging her shoulders.
"Well why are you here?" Sana asked with coldness in her voice.
"W-well I usually clean up his house a-and today nobody answered so I came in and there he was." Helen stuttered between tears and I patted her on the back.
"Why would he be in the pool if he couldn't swim?" Sana asked again and crossed her arms.
"I-I don't know! I didn't know he couldn't swim." Helen said quietly.
"But you were his maid right? Shouldn't you know that he couldn't swim." Sana said to Helen and narrowed her eyes.
"W-well I didn't know everything about him."
"Did anything else happen besides you being his maid? He was notorious for being a playboy." Sana got closer to Helen.
"N-no nothing else. I didn't know that about him." Helen started to stutter more.
"Are you sure about that? I think there's more." Sana glared at Helen and I pushed her back.
"Sana calm down. She seems delirious right now." I backed her up and she rolled her eyes.
"Whatever lets go." Sana flipped her hair and left the building. I facepalmed while sighing. Why does Sana hate Helen so much? She's making it harder to solve this.
"Uh David you take Helen with you and the rest of us will finish this." Mike explained and we nodded. David left with Helen and I went to find Sana. I exited the house and seen that she was standing near the car smoking.
"Is it time to go? It feels like we been here for MONTHS." Sana yelled when she seen me walking towards her.
"Not yet we're staying with Mike while David takes Helen home." I explained to her and I seen her take a breathe of relief.
"Finally that bitch is gone." She put out her cigarette and I rolled my eyes.
"Don't be so rude she's been through a lot." I tried to reason with Sana but she pushed pass me.
"Yeah yeah it's all a scam." Sana went back inside. Jeezus christ this woman is so hard to work with.
~3rd POV~
David drove Helen home to his house since she had nowhere to stay. Meanwhile Helen thought to herself what to do in this situation.Should I kill him? No he's an officer. They'll suspect me and I can't break my trust with that y/n girl...
"Hey ma'am we're here." David pulled up to his surprisingly large house. He lead her inside the house and into one of his many spare rooms.
"U-uh I hope you enjoy." He scratched the back of head. It was awkward to him having such a pretty girl in his house.
"Thank you." Helen stepped closer to David with a sly smile on her face. She could tell that he was gonna be easy to coax.
"Ha wow you're pretty." He blurted out and covered his mouth afterwards. Helen scoffed to herself. Of course at the end of the day he only cares about her looks. Helen huffed before putting her arm around his shoulder and putting her hair behind her ear.
"Do you wanna go out sometime?" She asked him and knew he was immediately gonna say yes.
"Sure why not." He replied and she grinned. She already had him wrapped around her finger.
The next day
Helen and David went out the next day to walk around town."Hey can you buy me this necklace?" Helen pointed to a necklace in a jewelry store.
"Sure why not." David paid for the $200 necklace. Of course he thought nothing of it. It was like buying something nice for a friend.
"Can you put it on?" Helen handed David the necklace.
"Sure." He placed it on her neck and she turned to face him. She smiled at him causing him to blush a bit. Bingo. Helen thought to herself. The two went into his car afterwards and made their way back home. Once they arrived at David's house, Helen turned to face him.
"David, do you wanna be more boyfriend?" She asked "shyly" and tucked her hair behind her ear to add extra oomf.
"No thanks." He deadpanned replied
"Excuse me what?" She was startled and gripped on her skirt. No one had ever denied her before. He even bought her a necklace what was the issue?
"Why would we be in a relationship?"
"We went out and a DATE! You even bought me a necklace!" Helen snapped her necklace off and dangled it in David's face.
"So? We went out as FRIENDS. Besides I already like Sana." He patted Helen's head and went out of the car.
"Did I really get played?" Helen gritted her teeth and tugged on her skirt. How could someone deny me like that? It's that stupid squirrel looking girl! Helen bit her nail and exited the car. She picked up a branch in the front yard and carefully walked behind David.
"Hey what are yo-," before David could finish Helen whacked him in the head with the branch. He fell to the ground unconscious while Helen huffed.
