~3rd POV~
Sana quietly panicked to herself as the only noise was the loud rain. 'What the fuck?' Sana frowned to herself and looked down to see a box with a note on top.

"Mind the business that pays you." Sana read the note out loud and placed it on her table. She opened the box to see a doll with a rope tied around it's neck and an off guard photo of her.

Chills went down her spine as she dropped the box. Who would do something like this? Maybe she needed to move again.

~Two weeks later~
April 4, 1997

"Sana! Welcome back!" David shouted when Sana approached them at the crime scene. She had taken the two weeks off for her "injured arm." Unfortunately on her first day back they already had an intense crime.

"Yes I have made my return!" Sana boasted and twirled around.

"Your hair?" Y/n pointed at Sana's now grey-ish hair

"Oh this? Do you like it?" Sana twirled a strand around her finger. Y/n lightly blushed and cleared her throat.

"Anyways we need to focus on the scene." Y/n turned away and led Sana to the crime scene.

"Oh god." Sana covered her mouth as she approached the dead body. It was hanging from a tree in front of an apartment building. Sana noticed that it was the one that she used to live in with her parents. Maybe I'm overthinking...

"The victim has been identified as 31 year old Liliana Whorton. Neighbors say that she lived alone. Both parents are dead. No siblings."

"How long has she been here?" Sana asked one of the CSI members.

"Well the blood on her neck looks pretty fresh so it likely happened overnight." The member responded in Sana nodded her head.

"Do you think she hung herself?" David asked Mike and he shrugged.

"We can't really determine yet, but I think someone else was involved." Mike scratched his forehead

~Later~

"LAPD open up." Y/n shouted as she knocked on the door.

"Um hello?" A woman opened the door and looked scared to see us. Sana and y/n both showed their badges and she let them in.

"Are you friends with someone named Liliana Whorton?" Sana asked as the woman gave them a cup of water.

"I wouldn't say that we were friends but we did talk a lot at work." She responded and sat across from the two.

"Did she ever express any suicidal statements or actions? Any anxiety or so?" Y/n got out a notebook and a small pencil.

"Well no she seemed very normal. She did work overtime alot but that's about it."

"Did she every day why she worked overtime so much?"

"Something about needing more money. I guess her rent was expensive."

After receiving little information, the two met back up with David and Mike to discuss the case.

"Maybe she committed suicide from having too much debt?" Sana expressed as she chewed on a slice of cake.

"That's a suggestion but why do it in front of a building? Why not in private?" Mike suggested.

"Yeah based on what everyone said, she seemed to be a private person. It's out of character." Y/n said as she stared intensely at her coffee.

"You never know something might've snapped in her to do it in public." David shrugged his shoulders and went back to inhaling donuts.

"We'll just wait for the autopsy report to make any further progress." Mike said and everyone nodded in agreement.

~Later that night~

"Are you not leaving?" Sana asked as y/n stayed at her desk.

"No I'm gonna finish something first." Y/n replied without looking up from a stack of papers.

"Whatever suits you best." Sana kissed her on her forehead before dashing off.

"HEY!" Y/n covered her face with her hands as she was embarrassed and was turning red. Atleast no one saw that. Damn that Sana girl.

Meanwhile Sana walked out the precinct with a smile on her face. She knew that y/n blushed at any physical affection, which was perfect since Sana specializes in physical touch.

"Finally going home?" Sana was interrupted by the desk lady, Diana. She had been gone for the past few days since she was in court testifying for a case.

"Yeah it's been a long day."

"Well be careful. I might sound crazy but I feel like there has been a shift in the air." Diana made a peculiar face and started up her car.

"A shift?" Sana turned her head to the side.

"Well it might just be me talking nonsense! Anyways have a nice night." Diana laughed it off and closed her door. Leaving Sana behind.

"What is she talking about? Maybe she is just being her usual nonsensical self." Sana pondered to herself as she rode the bus home. Besides Diana being weird, she couldn't help but think about the case.

If Liliana was such a private person, why would she hang herself infront of an apartment building? That makes no sense. Maybe to escape debt? That's if she had any.

Sana sighed as she entered her apartment, took a shower and immediately went to bed. I'm sure we'll get more answers tomorrow. Sana thought and went to bed.

A few hours later, Sana was awoken by a loud commotion outside. It sounded like a lot of people were talking a once. Moments later, her phone started ringing. Sana picked up the heavy ass Nokia and brought it to her ear.

"Hello?" She said in a sleepy voice.

"Sana? Sana! Wake up! We found another body hanging from a tree! It's right outside your apartment complex!"
