~Y/n's POV~
We all looked up at once to see a news reporter with large curly hair hurrying towards us. I immediately recognized her from watching the news.
"Breaking news! Our team was alerted that a dead body was found in this alley and luckily our investigators are still here!" The news reporter said as she pointed the camera towards Mike and Sana.
"Aha what are you guys doing here so quickly?" Mike asked with an annoyed look on his face.
"The gym owner called us about 10 minutes ago and explained everything." The news reporter smiled and Mike nodded.
"We can't reveal everything to the public right now." I stepped in front of Sana who looked nervous in front of the camera. Despite her showy personality it seems like she's nervous in front of cameras.
"Well you all heard them! Keep your ears open for more details on this story! Amari Fox at KTLA News! Signing off!" She ended the cast with a wink the camera turned off.
"Now why the hell did the owner tell the news already!" David said with an annoyed look at Amari.
"Don't look at me like that surfer boy," Amari rolled her eyes at David and turned to me, "anyways I was just doing my job but I already had questions for you."
I saw Sana stiffen up but I turned to Amari anyways.
"Ask away!" I folded my arms and Amari pulled out a piece of paper.
"As I reported the deaths of Liliana Whorton and Benson Lawrence, I can't help but see a connection between the two. Now seeing this new death I think we have a serial killer on the loose. What do you think?" She showed me the paper which had a ton of lines and circles.
"Funny I was thinking the same, but I feel as if you have an ulterior motive." I questioned and she placed her hands on her hips.
"No, I don't have any "ulterior motives" and I won't reveal to the public about this killer. I just want in to help get this killer arrested." Amari explained and I sighed. I guess we can trust her but I don't know it still seems random.
"Welcome as an honorary member of the squad." Mike smiled and patted her shoulder. Why does he accept people in so easily? He's too old to be this naive...
"I'm glad to be working with you all." Amari smiled and shook all of our hands. She shook my hand last which made Sana cling onto my arm. Is she being jealous? It's kinda cute if I'm being honest... Amari waved goodbye to us one last time before leaving.
"Don't get too comfortable with us." David yelled at her as she left. She flicked him off as she walked away. I would've did the same if I were her.
"I think she's into me!" David said as soon as the news van drove away.
"...David...please go to bed after this." I patted his shoulder. Poor David and his bad judgement...
~3rd POV~
Everyone headed back to the station and worked some more until it was 8pm. Y/n decided to drive Sana back to her apartment.
"Are you sure you'll be fine alone?" Y/n asked Sana once again with great concern.
"Yes yes! Unless you want to sleep with me." Sana deadpanned and y/n widened her eyes.
"GOODNIGHT." Y/n stopped the car right at the apartment complex.
"Ugh you're no fun." Sana playfully rolled her eyes. Y/n opened the door for Sana, who reluctantly went into her apartment building. There was still police tape where the body was found.
"God I should move." Sana frowned as she walked up to the 6th floor. As she went to open her door, she saw a letter with a rose.
"It was quite cute on how you tried to hide on tv"
Below the letter was a photo taped. It was of a tv that was showing the news reporter talking to y/n. Behind y/n was sana trying to hide.
Well shit.
