~3rd POV~

"What is that woman talking about?" Y/n approached Sana at the vending machine. The two had taken a break from interrogating the "hangman" or "hangwoman."

"I have absolutely no clue!" Sana quickly made an innocent doe like face.

"Sana you act like I'm stupid." I facepalmed.

"Please y/n! I'm teasing you." Sana smirked and wrapped her arms around me. It truly amazed y/n how Sana went from a innocent face to one that was the complete opposite in a matter of seconds.

"Anyways! I will be go back to the woman." Y/n rejected any non professional thoughts of Sana and went back to her job.

"Can you atleast tell me your name?" Y/n sighed in tiredness.

She had asked the woman about the crimes again, but instead she started tearing and cried for an hour straight before having a 30 minute rage fit.

"I-I don't think I can. Not until he is taken down."

"Who's he?"

"Brendon Aikawa... that stupid man!" She yelled and y/n quickly wrote the name in on the sketch pad.

"What did he do?"

"H-he! He used me to get to THAT STUPID GIRL!" She shouted again and started to cry.

Oh goodness not again. Y/n thought.

"Can you explain more please?"

"He...I had a crazy amount of student loans to pay off, so I was desperate for money okay?" She began to wipe her tears, "I met Brendon one day and we started hitting it on."

"Go on." Y/n said as she continued to write down.

"S-so soon after that, he said that he'll pay off my loans and he did! B-but after a while he started to get bored of me and instead kept searching for a girl named Sana-,"

"What does he want from her?"

"I...I-I don't know! He just wants to have her or something!"

"But if he wants her, why did he keep you?"

"Well...he said that I would either pay him back or... you know... start doing his dirty work." The woman looked down at her feet.

The woman sighed before looking defeated, "I'll take all the charges. Just put me in jail already."

"...alright. That's enough for today. You'll be appointed a lawyer tomorrow." Y/n rubbed her eyebrow and left the room.

Right outside was Mike who was able to hear the conversation.

"What a day huh?" Mike approached me and squeezed my shoulder.

"I guess, but Sana has some explaining to do." Y/n crossed her arms and walked away.

"Oh... lovers quarrel huh?" Mike laughed under his breath as y/n walked away. After she was out of sight, he quickly walked around the precinct to find Sana.

"Hey! You better prepare Ms. Mintazoki..." Mike grabbed Sana's shoulder when he finally found her.

"Wmaf?" Sana turned around to reveal a mouth full of rice.

"Y/n knows that you're hiding something." Mike whispered to her and her eyes widened.

"H-hiding something? Me? No!" Sana's face turned pale

"Don't worry I know about the thing with your parents and the man you're looking for." Mike softened his face as Sana felt as if she was gonna vomit.

"You know?... how?" Sana took a deep swallow.

"I've been working here for years, I know about every case in the area."

"I planned on keeping it a secret. I don't want anyone to get involved." She puckered her lips out.

"Sana-,"

"SANA!" Mike was interrupted by y/n yelling. The two of them made an "oh shit" expression as y/n approached them.

~Y/n's POV~

"Oh hello my dear y/n." Sana plastered a smile on her face as I approached her.

"We'll be taking our break." I grabbed Sana's hand and walked away as Mike stared at us.

I pulled Sana into bakery that was down the street. We both sat down at a table that was outside.

"So...wonderful weather we're having huh?" Sana said trying to deviate from the tension.

In fact the weather was not wonderful. It was cold and gloomy. Typical March weather.

"Sana. Explain right now. I know you are somehow tied into this." I pressed my fingers together and stared at her.

"Why would I be tied in with that crazy lady?" Sana defended herself.

"Well she wouldn't mention your name for no reason would she? Apparently she and the "others" know about you." I tightened my voice. I could see Sana's face change from denial to defeat.

"Well it's not something I want to talk about..." she looked off to the side.

"It's ok. You need to tell us these things Sana." I grabbed her hand and tightly gripped it.

We sat in silence for a few moments until Sana decided to talk.

"Fine. I'll tell you everything I can."
