***MENTIONS OF SELF HARM***
Dream grabs George's hand softly. George uses his other hand and starts to feel around Clay's hand and eventually goes up to his wrist.
"What the- Dream what's on your wrists?"
Dream's head shots downwards at his wrists instantly pulling away from George's light grip.
He didn't know what to say. What would George think? What would he say? Oh no...
"Dream...I get it."
George lightly sighs.
Dream looks back up at George. He's almost about the cry, the pain has built up for too long. It's too much for him.
A small tear glistening down Dream's freckled cheek. His enchanting green eyes sparkled and his under eyes and nose tip grew reddish.
George's face grew flustered just looking at the sadness.
They sat there in silence for just a moment.
Dream's sobs pained George's heart so deeply.
Because it wasn't just crying, it's like a dam that's been holding more of an ocean of emotion then it can handle.
And now look, the dam has been cutting itself up in hopes to get some of the endless and heartbreaking pain out.
George gently lifts one of the sleeves of his own sweatshirt.
The scars on George's wrists surprised Dream who had now stopped crying.
They were light and faded, but still visible.
How has Dream never noticed them? I guess he hasn't known George for that long, but still.
"G-George..."
Dream struggled to get out due to his sobs.
"These are from..."
George paused trying to think back.
"two years ago."
Dream looked at George upset now wrapping his arms around the smaller boy.
"Why?"
Dream whispered almost inaudibly.
"Well...my father passed away...from cancer that summer."
George hummed a little uneasy but still steadily if that makes sense.
"George, I'm so so sorry. I've been thinking all about myself not worrying about you and-"
George didn't let Dream finish.
"Dream it's okay, I'm fine, this is about you."
They sat there in silence for what seemed like a couple of minutes but must have been about an hour.
They were both tired. Tired physically and emotionally.
Once again it started to gently rain. Making both of the boys smile warmly remembering what one of them have said once.
They both think back to it, and before Dream could mention it again.
"You're safe here Clay...here no one can see you cry, not in the rain."
This was the first time George has ever called him Clay. He used to hate it, but when George said it, it made his heart light up.
He looked over at George who's dark brown hair started to drip.
He grabbed George's hand and pulled him up. They ran around and laughed on the now empty schoolyard's grass. The rainy sunset was just beautiful. It was an evening sun shower or in other words weather brought down straight from the heaven itself.
They laughed with each other, and goofily danced with each other.
This was a moment that seemed unreal, a moment that just seemed too good to be true. A moment that just can't slip away from one's memory, it was one they both knew that they'd forever share and cherish.
They stopped in their tracks and just starred at one another. Time might as well just stop.
Dream cupped George's cheek with his hand staring into his adorable dark brown eyes. He wiped away the rain on George's cheek, just like he would wipe away tears.
He smiled and caught his eyes glancing down at George's bright pink lips. He could feel George pull his closed lips into a small smirk. George thought back to what Dream said the day that he kissed him.
Just before he knew it their lips were together again, now for what seemed like it should last forever. A flame that would never be blown out.
Once they pulled away the thing that George said melted Clay's soul.
"I love you too Clay."
