after 3634823984029 years i write again
also i had a weekend date chapter and it was really sweet but its more of a filler and it was written kinda terribly since i ran out of motivation midway. maybe i'll post it later.
anyways its near the end of the book, thank you for sticking with me if you did! i appreciate your patience!!
. . .
"remi, can we talk?" you patted the pink-haired girl's shoulder softly. she nodded a bit gloomily.
after class, you sat beside her in the courtyard. to be frank, you hated all of these lies, but her happiness reassured you. maybe all you needed was a little honesty. your fears faded. what will be, will be. "i know you like sengoku-kun."
"i-i.. what do you mean?" she protested loudly, and you shushed her. you noted the fact she was trying not to act flustered.
"i know you like him, but i want to know why you're mad at me for being with miyamura-kun. i'll explain why i brought this up after you tell me what's up."
remi inhaled and puffed out her cheeks before speaking again. "because you don't just confess like that! it's not like you, you'd never do that!"
"i thought you supported our relationship?" you asked curiously. "you did place us in the same rooms, remember?"
remi flushed. right.. i did, didn't i? "w-well... i expected you to just get closer," she said. remi took a deep breath and spoke quickly. "and i thought you liked sengoku-kun, so i wanted to make sure you weren't lying for me."
ah. despite her fast speech you understood her explanation clearly. "remi-san shouldn't have to worry about me," you sighed. "were you feeling left out?"
"left out?! no! never!"
she definitely felt left out. "i see."
"but... you could've told me before you confessed." you saw a slight pout form on her lips.
you laughed. "alright. i'll let you know from here on out, i promise."
you thought for a second, then spoke again. "and confess to sengoku-kun. he's popular, you know? you have to talk to him before anyone else does!"
remi flushed bright red. "o-okay..."
"and i'll be here to help you," you smiled. "i'm an expert at love."
"i wouldn't go that far... but okay," she nodded and you patted her head. "but i'm still not convinced that you, of all people, would confess after knowing him for like a day."
"y-you'll see," you smiled. "we have chemistry."
"what was that stutter?! you never stutter."
"shh. you're overthinking."
somehow, you felt heavier and lighter.
. . .
"hi, miyamura-kun," you said stiffly, walking towards his desk, fully aware of everyone's stares. the whispers began and you began to panic. the boy in front of you was quick to notice. "are you.. doing okay?"
miyamura reached for your left hand and whispered softly. "now that you're here." your face turned bright red immediately. since when was he so smooth?!
"aha, ahahaha," you smiled. "me too!"
silence. how awkward. the most socially isolated kid in school is a smoother talker than the idol-like vice-president.
