"One of the most underrated secrets is to start before you're ready." - Marie Forleo

---x---

"Good morning." Margot seated in front of me. Nandito kami ngayon sa Starbucks. Nagpapatanggal ng hangover. Sabi vegan pasta night lang, in the end we couldn't resist drinking a bit.

"Ang dami ko na palang points. So free lahat 'to." Margot explained as she put down the pastries.

Nailea, who was busy with her Mac laptop, was seething. "Sobrang tagal mag-download. Grrr." Nag-eedit kasi ito ng video.

"There's a full moon later." Margot said. "Will you both stay up?"

"I'd love to see it but I'd probably sleep."

"Same. But.. di ko alam. Baka." sabi ko lang.

"I'll send you photos later. I'll use my new camera. It would be gorgeous lalo na mula sa pad ko.  Sana lang hindi maulap." she excitedly said, I swear her eyes were twinkling.

"By the way, I just both a new reading glass." Nailea pulled out something from her bag. Her hair were naturally curly today, dahil it was braided yesterday. She wore the glasses and smiled. "What do you think? I look smarter ba?"

Piningot siya ni Margot sa tenga. "Gaya-gaya ka ba?" I smiled. She will always be the baby of the group.

"Girl, bakit nga ulit considered as taxable pa rin yung gross income kahit na galing sa illegal means?" Nailea nudged me.

"Hmm... because the person has control over them and can use it for his or her own benefit." sagot ko habang nakapikit at nakapalumbaba. Hays. Antok pa me.

"Sana pala pag tipsy tayo, try nating mag-recit verbatim ng batas." Margot suggested.

Napangiwi kami. "Great idea, but..." anas ko.

"What?! That Doctrine of Constructive Receipt confuses me."

"Yeah. The concept is easy, but we need practice..."

"You know, what if I went to law school?" Nailea interrupted.

"Naka-salamin ka lang, bigla mong sasabihin yan?" Margot countered. Aso't pusa talaga 'to.

Nailea giggled. "What if nga lang eh.."

Margot indulged her idea. "Then hopefully we'd all be classmates."

I lazily flailed my arms in the air, indicating no. "Aren't you tired studying? I kennat."

"You say that but you're probably gonna get your masters." ngumisi siya. "I can see you teaching part-time."

"Psh..." I gave out a long sigh, tapos ay humikab pa. "I just want to survive this present hell."

Med Week

Nursing School

"You guys go all out." I commented as I glanced over the hallways. It was lively, at ang daming booth.

"Of course. Minsan lang kasi yung mga gantong event." sagot ni Hadwin. I observed him. Karamahin naman, dahil may event, ay naka-casual. Samantalang itong lalaking 'to ay naka-uniform pa. Sobrang sipag kasi, nag-overtime pa.

"Di ka ba magpapalit?" I asked.

"I will. I'll go muna sa CR." anya.

I tagged along with him.  Pumasok siya sa men's room. I decided to enter the women's comfort room to check myself. My eyes grew a bit.
