    Amaya's POV:

I like to consider myself to be a loner, not because people don't like me, but I just prefer to be alone.

I live alone on the outside of Konohagakure, or otherwise known as the Land Of Fire. I live in a small cottage that is perfect for me, I also rarely get visitors which makes it all the more better. The Third Hokage likes to call me a hermit, and I can't exactly disagree, the only time I go into the village is for clothes and maybe some groceries. Why go into civilization when I've got mostly everything I need all around me: animals, crops, I'm set for life out here, and the beauty the wilderness holds is something else entirely.

The Third tends to think that I'm lonely, but I constantly remind him that I've never really known what it's like to really spend time with someone. I don't have any sort of connection to anyone, my parents died in the Third War and I never had any siblings. I myself was out of the academy, but my parents refused to let me participate in the War, which I will forever be grateful for. I saw what it had done to people and their families, it caused me great pain, but now I'm happy, content even, with the life I live.

Right now I'm currently making food for myself and preparing to go into town. Today is one of the days scheduled for my town adventures. I go into town about once every two weeks or so, and when I do I make sure to stock up and maybe shop for some things for myself.

Now the real question, how on earth do I have any sort of money? Well I make jewelry and have someone sell them for me so I don't have to stay in town, every two weeks I take more into town and by the time I need to go back they've all sold and I have more. This tends to get me enough money for about everything I usually need; though I suppose I could easily become a shinobi, though I don't really have any interest in it.

Every time I visit konoha I stop by the Thirds office and stay a bit for a chat, he is always trying to get me to work for him. I constantly have to tell him no.

I consider myself a capable ninja, I still train about everyday and work on my jutsus every-so-often; I just have no interest in helping others. I value my safety and life over others and that tends to not work well on teams, or for a village that needs teams of ninjas to continue to thrive.

My food is quickly done cooking and I get to work on eating it, if I want to make it to the village before noon I'll need to leave my house in about ten minutes. I scarf down my food and rush out of my house, locking the door and heading down a small path to get to the road that leads straight into the village. The walk is peaceful, the fresh outside air will never get boring, the sound of the birds chirping, squirrels running around and jumping across branches.

It's not long till I see the the large Konoha gates; they're a bit dramatic in my opinion. The guards who usually guard the gates are asleep when I approach, though it's not the first time. They tend to always be asleep on the job, the dog they keep by there side is suppose to alert them to a persons presence I believe, but I've not once heard the dog bark.

Without waking the two or the dog I continue on the pathway towards the market area and make my way through the different stands, picking up everything I needed.

Walking along the main path towards the Hokage tower I look down to see a cat rubbing against me.

"Hello sweet thing," I spoke softly bending down to scratch underneath its chin, the cat lets out a loud purr and rubs its head on my hand. I look up at the sound of shouting heading my way, a strange looking kid in orange, a black haired boy, and a pink haired girl quickly make there way towards my direction.

"Hey lady!" Is this boy talking to me? "I'm talking to you!" He shouts while pointing at me. All three kids stop in front of me and stare down at the cat in my hands.

"Is it yours," I question lowly, I really hate being loud, it just disturbs the peace.

"No, but it is our mission to bring it back! Believe it!"

"Naruto! Quit yelling, you're standing right in front of her!" Talk about a hypocrite, you're yelling just as close.

"Here," I whisper while holding out the cat. The blonde quickly snatched it out of my hands, getting scratched in the process. "Do you need help?"

"Wahh! No way! We can take care of this, it's our mission after all." He spoke while holding the cat at an arms length as to not get scratched again.

"How about I carry it for the three of you, while you guys carry my bags for me? You could say you helped me out so I decided to return the favor?" They seemed to contemplate my suggestion before shrugging their shoulders at each other, the blonde roughly passes the cat back, then they each take a few bags.

"Sounds good to me datebayo," what a strange child. They all turn and start heading in the direction I was as well heading in; the Hokages office. "So who are you lady? I've never seen you before. Are you new to the village?"

"My name is Amaya. I've also never seen you before. No I'm not new to the village."

"Are you a kunoichi miss Amaya?"

"Not anymore.." I trail off hoping for her name.

"Sakura, Sakura Haruno. The cool looking guy beside me is Sasuke Uchiha." A Uchiha huh? Thought all of them were dead? Hm oh well, it's none of my business.

"And I'm Naruto Uzumaki, I'm going to be Hokage one day, believe it!" Another interesting last name, and definitely one you don't hear often anymore.

More unimportant conversation went by in the ten minutes it took to get to the doors of the Thirds office, have I mentioned I don't really like kids? Well now would be a good time for that, they're loud, obnoxious, messy, and annoying.

The Uchiha knocks on the door, we hear a quiet come in and everyone files in. Being in the back gives me the advantage to be able to asses the amount of people currently in the office along with the Hokage. He's got his usual Ambu guards and a suspiciously familiar man; the man seems to be wearing a Jounin vest and headband, so I can only assume he is the children's sensei.

"Ah Amaya, it seems you ran into some trouble eh?" The old mans remark caught the attention of the sensei and he looks behind his students to gaze at me with his one visible eye.

"Indeed I did," I spoke while staring him down. "You could have informed me you were busy today." The evil old man planned this.

"Where's the fun in that? I assume you've met the Genins' then?"

"Yes."

"Well then meet their Jounin sensei, Kakashi Hatake." That's why he's familiar, I've heard of him, the copycat ninja of the hidden leaf. He's supposedly copied over 1,000 jutsus, one of the best shinobi Konoha has.
