Idiotic Hokage

Amaya's POV:

"Iruka, I hope you don't mind. I brought a friend along with me." I state sheepishly while Naruto and I walk up to him outside. He looks over at the sound of my voice and raises an eyebrow.

"You're friends with Naruto? Isn't he like, too loud for you?"

"Nah, he's alright; But yes, we are friends. Right Naruto?" I look down at him to see slight tears in his eyes. He quickly wipes them and flashes his usual bright smile.

"Of course we are, believe it!" Iruka gives me a disbelieving look, and shakes his.

"Alright well the kids have gone through some basics already and now we are just waiting for you to show us some jutsu."

"Alright," I raise my voice slightly while clapping my hands to get there attention. "My chakra nature is water and today I'll be demonstrating to you a few of my many water jutsu's." They all so far are very on topic and keeping their eyes on me, let's hope it stays that way. "So I suppose I'll get started then." I quickly go through the hand signs one-handed, "water style, Water Bullet Jutsu," I shout and aim towards the kunai targets. I hit each one with two water bullets and all the kids start whispering about how "cool" that it is.

"Alright no one said how long this demonstration had to last, so I'll show you one more and then be on my way. This last one is a B-Rank. Water style, Water Dragon Jutsu," I shout once again and create a miniature version of the Water Dragon Jutsu. All the kids shout with glee when I release it and it mists everywhere.

While Iruka is distracted with the wild children, Naruto and I make a quick exit. We are a ways down the street when either of us stop running.

"That was hilarious! And your jutsu's were so cool too!"

"Thanks Naruto. Though both of them are considerably easy to pull off."

"Really! Does that mean I could do it!" This kid really doesn't stop yelling does he?

"Probably, but I wouldn't go trying either anytime soon." Though with the amount of chakra the kid holds, it wouldn't do to much damage to him. "Wait till you're older and have better control over your chakra."

"I have control over my chakra!"

"Is that so? Then can you do this?" I pool my chakra evenly to my feet and walk up the side of the nearest building. His eyes say enough, he has no clue how I did it. "Control over your chakra my ass."

"How'd you do that!"

"Ask your sensei, that's what he's for after all." We continue on the same path until it starts getting dark. "Naruto let me walk you home, it's getting late and I need to get going."

"No, uhh you don't need to walk me." He glances off to the side and tries to start walking off. I widen my stride and grab his arm, stopping him in his tracks.

"It wasn't a question Naruto. I'm walking you home, and that's final." Jeez, kids these days I swear.

"Al...alright." Suddenly so nervous? What's his problem? We continue walking in silence, which is not natural, since the kid has never shut up when I'm around. A couple more minutes of walking and I realize why he didn't want me walking him home, he must be embarrassed.

"Naruto, there's no need to be embarrassed, though you definitely shouldn't be living in a place like this by yourself." I always knew the Hokage was kinda dumb, but this is unacceptable. I'll have to speak to him the next time I visit, which will most likely have to be sooner then planned.

"It's fine really, the owner is friendly." He says while walking up a set of creaking stairs, I don't reply to shocked to speak. The disgust must be rolling off me in waves because Naruto suddenly picks up the pace. "This is mine, so I'll see you another time I guess." He opens the door quickly and goes to shut it.

"Naruto," I say while stopping the door from closing, I catch a glimpse of the mess his apartment is and almost, almost steal the poor child. "Don't worry about it, I'm not mad at you or anything. In fact I think I'll come by in a few days, you think you'll be around?" His face brightens and he quickly nods his head yes.

"I should be, but we might finally get our first mission so I'll leave a note if that happens."

"Sounds great, I'll see you later Naruto. Sleep well."

"See ya, and uhh you too." He mutters with a red face, he lightly shuts the door. I stay for a bit waiting for him to go to bed; I leave when I hear his breath even out.

I make the trip back home short and fast. Zephyr greets me as usual and I quickly shower and lay down. Sleep however evades me, thoughts of Naruto living in a run down place like that by himself. What was the Hokage thinking? That a child could live on his own, that he'd be fine in the red light district of all places? Clearly someone isn't treating him right; he said his missions consisted of menial chores, there's no way he could have gotten that hurt by chores. So who's hurting him, and why the fuck had the Hokage not stopped it?

It's bad enough the boy has to deal with the Kyubi, but hateful villagers? There's no way I can let that continue, especially not now that I know about it. The Hokage sure is blind, it's about time someone new and actually worth something takes his place.

Wow, that sounded worse then it was suppose to. Not me sounding like a absolute a-hole, but seriously I'm not joking. He's so blind, the kid, Danzo and his creepy ambu, like there's no way he doesn't know about that one, he's just being soft. We need a strict don't give a damn -but obviously slightly- Hokage that isn't a damn people pleaser. Ugh, now I'm all worked up. Whatever I'm going to sleep.

Why is my face wet? I open my eyes and sit up quickly, only to come face to face with the likely culprit, Zephyr. Since I live alone, Zeph is the only one who could have done it really.

"What do you want dog," I grumble out, I was hoping to sleep in for once. He loudly and roughly barks in my face and licks it once again. He must want outside, "yeah alright alright, outside it is." He jumps off my bed and runs for the door, I walk slowly, taking my time and waking myself up in the process. The minute I open the door he's off to who knows where, and probably won't be back for awhile.

I shuffle to my kitchen and grab an apple. I suppose I should get ready, there's no way I can get back to sleep now.

So that's what I did. I got dressed and then started on cleaning the house, washing dishes, and clothes, cleaning floors and everything else. Then after that I got started on the outside, I mowed the grass, plucked weeds from the garden and harvested whatever was ready.

After all the work was done it was once again dark out. I was sitting in my living room enjoying a good book when I heard Zeph scratching at the door to be let in. Opening the door I'm startled to see Zeph and an unknown laying at his feet.

The dog is small compared to Zephyr and has tan fur with brown accents throughout his coat, along with strange black rings around his eyes. The dog which I assume to be a Konaha shinobi ninken, which I can assume such things because he's got the kanji for shinobi on his forehead. Plus no one really knows where I live, and Zeph would not bring an enemy dog anywhere near this house.

Zephyr wines and sniffs the dog, the dog doesn't move, it must be pretty bad. I bend down and pick up the dog carefully, patting Zeph on the head and closing the door behind us. Looks like I've got an extra to take care of.
