Amaya's POV:

Kakashi is a lot sweeter then I was expecting. He kindly thanked me and walked me to his door, then shyly said goodnight. He's actually quite cute, maybe I should come around more often. He reminds me of Naruto slightly in a lonely way, maybe we could be friends. I surely could use some friends myself, I have Iruka and that's about it I believe.

I hurriedly make my way towards Naruto's apartment, wanting to get him moved and settled in to his new room at my house. When I get there he's already outside waiting for me; he's got three bags, and they seem to be barely full, I can't really say I'm surprised by the small amount of items he actually owns.

"Hey Naruto, you ready to get going?"

"Ya I am, believe it!"

"I believe it alright."

The trip to my house was loud, which is definitely a first. Naruto didn't stop talking about his mission, that and the scenery in the woods. He nearly screamed when we finally got to the house, he was crazily excited. He immediately ran inside and started exploring wildly, he quickly found his own room and started dumping his things out and around. I couldn't help myself and scolded him about keeping it clean and tidy, I really don't like it when things are messy.

"Sorry Amaya."

"It's cool but try to keep your room somewhat clean yeah?"

"Yeah!" So energetic; this house will never be the same.

Naruto and I spend the rest of the day talking about anything and everything. He spoke about his mission and how lots of things went wrong. He even confided in me a little of what's been going on between him and the villagers, I really feel horrible for the kid. He went through so much, I'm just glad he's out of that situation.

Naruto as well met Zephyr for the first time, he seemed very hesitant but when Zeph simply laid by his feet quietly he got more comfortable. By dark him and Zeph were already the best of friends, they'd gone exploring for some time in the forest while I made food for the both of us. Naruto ate slowly for once, I think it's because he's more comfortable in this sort of environment. It makes me happy to know he's comfortable around and with me.

"Alright Naruto why don't you go to bed? I'll clean up and then join you for a sec."

"O.. ok." I quickly do the few dishes we made and clean the table off. I dry my hands and then head to Naruto's room; he's already fast asleep and looking extremely uncomfortable. How does one sleep like that? My back would be broke. I turn off the lamp next to his bed and kiss his forehead saying goodnight and gently close the door.

I meet up with Zeph and we both head to my room jumping in the bed and getting comfy. I fall asleep quickly and easily. I'm truly content with my life so far. I'm glad I was able to help Naruto out of his nasty situation. My next mission I've concluded is to become friends with the one and only Kakashi Hatake.

——————————time skip—————————-

Naruto has quickly acclimated to his new surroundings and environment. He's now completely comfortable and doesn't get lost; sure it took him about a week to get used to but hey, at least he's got it down now.

I'm currently heading into the village as requested from the Hokage, he spoke of a mission for myself in a message. I'm hoping it's an easy one, I'm way too lazy to be doing hardcore missions.

The journey isn't long since I ran the whole way. The Hokage is expecting me so I simply just walk in his office without knocking.

"Hokage-sama, what can I do for you?"

"Amaya, perfect timing. You and one other will be escorting an important official to Sungakure." To Suna, really? So far.

"As you wish Hokage-sama. Who is it that will be joining me?"

"Kakashi is joining you, he should be here soon." Shouldn't he be resting instead of doing missions? What an idiot, now I'll have to keep an eye on him and the "important official." My job just got harder.

"I see."

I'm going to kill the silver headed perv when he gets here. Oh my god, how does one intentionally arrive so late!? He finally walked through the door after thirty minutes of waiting, what else could he have been doing!?

"Sorry I'm late, I got lost on the path of like," he spoke sheepishly while rubbing the back of his neck.

"Oh you got lost alright! What the hell Hatake! We should have been gone thirty minutes ago!" His eyes widen at my anger and he quickly looks down.

"Sorry, it won't happen again."

"Yeah it better not. Let's get going." I turn and leave, not sparing him or the Hokage a glance. Walking down the street with a quickened pace, Kakashi has to jog slightly to catch up to me.

"Hey, I said I'm sorry. Don't be so mad." This man, if he wasn't so attractive I would have hit his pretty face by now.

"Kakashi, I hate being late. You know what being late gets you? Death. Death of the people you care about." I spoke strongly while stopping to stare him in the eyes, making sure he understands why I am the way I am. He looks down dejected; shit why would I say that to someone who's literally lost everyone in their life? God damnit, I'm an idiot I swear. "Kakashi.."

"No, it's ok. You're right, I shouldn't be late. I guess it's just a habit I picked up. One of my teammates used to be late all the time, I guess I do it to feel close to him." Fuuuuck, that's sad. Now I feel bad dang it. I sigh and grab his hand pulling him into a tight hug, I incircle one arm around his waist and grab his head with the other, pushing it into my neck. He's completely still for a minute and then slightly relaxes, he still doesn't move his arms though.

"Sorry, I should have thought before I said anything. I was just upset, I'm fine now. So don't apologize ok?"

"Yeah," he mumbled into my neck. Now is not the time, but that was kinda hot, shit. Unholy thoughts stay away, at least for now I suppose. I did say I wanted to be closer to him, I guess it could be more then in a friendly way.

I pulled away and continued walking, as if nothing happened, as well as to get his slight blush out of my mind.

We got to the gates in five minutes and the person we were escorting was already there and waiting for us. I profusely apologized for being late and told her it wouldn't happen again.

"It's really no big deal. But now that you're here let's get going."
