Amaya's POV:
Yo this bitch pissin me off. She's been absolutely hardcore flirting with Kakashi this whole time, and I though she was cool at first. I was wrong, she hasn't shut up since we started this long ass journey to Suna, I have never wanted to kill a bitch more in my life.
Now let me backtrack slightly, this sounds very jealous. I'm not, I'm annoyed. Kakashi is clearly not fully healed from his injury a few days ago and has it bad enough, then this bitch walks in and starts rubbing herself all over him. Yeah ok this sounds really bad actually. I sound like a psycho girlfriend, oh my god.
"Sooo, you're the famous copy cat ninja I hear so much about then?"
"Mmhm," can she not tell he's clearly uninterested. I hate females, we truly throw ourselves at anything thats attractive. Like I can honestly say same girl, he's sexy as hell, but still, he's clearly not into it.
"So how long are you staying in the hidden sand village?" I quickly cut in between them and answer for him.
"Not long, we'll be leaving the minute we drop you off."
"Oh well I'm sure Kakashi here can stay an extra day right?" She bats her eyes at me, noticeably telling me to back off with her eyes. Kakashi looks over at me with a begging eye, wanting out of the situation. He's too cute not to give in to.
"No actually, we both are needed right back to the Leaf after this mission."
"Mph, well I'm sure Kakashi can make his own decisions, he's the head of this mission after all." Oh if only this girl knew.
"Actually miss, I'm the head Jounin on this mission. So that means Kakashi does as I say. So when I say we are heading back after we drop you off, I mean it." I challenge while staring her down, I'm the boss here lady, shut the hell up. She breaks eye contact first and drifts away from the both of us slightly.
"Whatever," yeah that's what I thought girly.
"Thank you," Kakashi lowly whispers in my ear. I shiver slightly and gently caress his lower back.
"It's my pleasure," I whisper back. My tone has a noticeable affect, making a shiver run through his body. I smirk at him and slowly fall back to my earlier position; from here I can see the blush on his ears and the back of his neck. How cute.
A few hours later had us stopping for the night. It was too dark, and the woman no longer felt safe traveling in the dark. As everyone else fell asleep, Kakashi and I kept watch. He was notably tired, but I could tell he wasn't wanting to sleep, he must be worried he'll have a nightmare in front of everyone. I slowly bring my hand up to his head while he watches my every move, unsure but curious enough not to move away. I run my hand up the back of his head through his hair and tug lightly on his head, he complies and shifts his body so he can rest his head on my lap.
"Sleep Kakashi. There's nothing to worry about." He opens his mouth to reply but a yawn escapes instead. Running my hand through his hair must have done the trick because his eyes fully close and his body relaxes slightly. I continue to run my hand throughout his hair while he sleeps; he lets out a content sigh, fully relaxing in my hold.
Morning quickly came and regretfully I had to wake Kakashi, I was hoping to let him sleep longer, but it seems it'll have to wait for another time. I shake him gently and whisper his name. The minute he woke his whole body tensed and his head shot up out of my lap.
"Sorry I didn't mean to fall asleep."
"It's not a problem Kakashi. It looked like you needed the sleep anyways." The man looked like he hadn't slept in days, and that was just in one eye. I'm sure he's still exhausted though. "You wake yourself up and I'll go wake everyone else."
"Ok, thank you."
"Of course."
I make quick work of waking everyone and getting them ready to finish the trip to Suna. We should make it there in about seven more hours if we keep the same pace as yesterday.
Everyone was up and on the move in less then fifteen minutes and thankfully this time the walk was silent. It gave me time to think and not be interrupted by an annoying voice constantly.
I really hate the fact that I had to become a shinobi again, I'm not saying I would take it back, because I wouldn't, I'm glad Naruto has stable living conditions. I just wish I didn't have to break a promise in order to gain that, the Hokage is a real piece of shit for that. I promised my parents that I wouldn't continue as a shinobi and here I am, doing it anyway.
They wanted me to have a life, a life without worry, without fear that one day I'll go on my last mission. They wanted something better for me, and I've broken that promise, it rubs me wrong, but then I remember the smiling face I broke it for. Naruto makes it worth it; if breaking that promise meant making a better life for someone who has their whole life ahead of them still, I'd do it again in a heartbeat, with no hesitation.

We finally got rid of the irritating lady and are now on our way back to the Leaf. It's only been a few hours and I can already tell Kakashi is having trouble. I knew it was a bad idea for him to be going on this mission.
"Kakashi stop for a minute."
"Why what's wrong?" God he even sounds out of breath. I'm betting right now his stitching is infected.
"Take off your shirt."
"W..what?" I would tease him about how endearing the blush on his face is, but I'm extremely worried.
"Your stitches are bothering you right?"
"How'd you know?"
"You've been slowing down this last hour."
"Oh," he mutters and slowly starts peeling off his shirt. He hisses and flinches, curling his body downward. It must be worse then I thought. I quickly walk up to him and simply cut his shirt off with a kunai. "What.. what the."
"It would have hurt more if you had taken it off normally." I explain while examining his right side. His wound is green and extremely red around the whole thing, it probably feels like it's on fire by now. "On a scale of one to ten how bad does it hurt right now?"
"Uhh, like... maybe uh eight?" I stand up straight and shove the back of my hand against his forehead. Shit, he's got a high fever. I zone back in to hear him panting and realize he's sweating like crazy, but shivering at the same time, why didn't I notice before? Damnit!
"Ok look, the wounds badly infected and you've got a high fever. We need to get you lied down and treat the infection before it gets worse." I get to quick work before he can even think to argue. Throwing my sleeping bag down and making him lie there, I go to start cleaning his wound. "This is going to hurt, so sorry in advanced." I pour alcohol on it and he lets out a pained groan, biting his lip to keep quiet. I gently pat it down with a cloth and do the same thing a couple more times. By the time I'm done he had passed out from the pain, he's shivering in his sleep and letting out low grunts of pain. I take every blanket I can find and cover him up, laying his head in my lap I lightly dab his forehead with a damp towelette.
I hope he makes it through this, I don't need to kill off one of the only friends I have. Not to mention Naruto would be very sad to learn I killed his sensei.
