I sigh as I place another letter on Hotch's desk. "This one was at a coffee shop three blocks away from my house. Hotch he knows where I live. It's only a matter of time before he makes his move,"
"We'll get you to a safe house,"
"No. I don't do safe houses cause if something happens, I can't call anyone," I say honestly. I run my hands through my hair. "I don't- I don't know what to do Hotch. I'm not scared of many things but Danny finding me, that uh, that scares me Hotch,"
"You can stay with me," I look up at him.
"What?" I ask, clarifying that I heard him right.
"You can stay with me," He repeats. Before I can even refuse the phone rings and I politely excuse myself.
A lot has happened lately. I've gotten more random phone calls and letters from Danny. They keep showing up at every place I go every day. At first, it was just phone calls and now it's letters. First at a grocery store about an hour from my house that I go to every Friday. Then at a park, I visit, about forty-five minutes from my house. They keep getting closer and closer. It's only a matter of time before he'll be waiting for me himself.
I finish filling the last bit of my paperwork before leaning back in my chair with a sigh. "You heading home soon little sis?" I look back and see an upside-down Derek Morgan. I chuckle before sitting up and turning around.
"Yeah. I'm gonna be staying with a friend for a little while though," I inform without fully telling him where I'm staying.
"Oh, ok. Well, I'll see you tomorrow," He waves before walking out. Leaving only Hotch and I in the office. He walks out of his separate office, his bag in one hand and his jacket hanging over his arm.
"We'll head to your place first so you can get your stuff and then we'll go straight to my apartment," Hotch explains. I nod before picking up my stuff. We both walk out in silence before I decide to speak.
"Thanks for letting me stay with you," He nods in response. We push open the doors and I begin heading to my car until I freeze. My keys falling out of my now shaking hands.
"Abigail," I hear Hotch's voice but it's like it's really far away. I feel frozen in my spot like I couldn't move even if I wanted to. "Jesus," I hear Hotch mutter. My car windows are smashed, the seats cut up and the words "I'M COMING! " spray-painted onto the side of my car. My eyes dart everywhere, he's close or did he do this earlier. I jump slightly as I feel a hand on my shoulder. I look up and see Hotch. "We'll take my car," I nod as he walks me to the passenger seat and lets me get in before walking to the other side.
The car ride to my apartment is quiet, the image of my car flashing before my eyes. We pull up to my apartment and I grab my gun, just to be safe. We head up to my apartment and to my relief everything looks normal. As I head to my room, my gun still in my hand, Hotch checks all the closets and anywhere someone could be hiding. I walk into my room and check my washroom and my closet and underneath my bed. Nothing. I sigh content that no one is in my apartment. I hear a creak and quickly turn around my gun ready. I lower it as I see Hotch. "Sorry, I'm a bit jumpy right now,"
