Abigail POV

I walk around the apartment, feeling Hotch's eyes on me the entire time. Ever since the whole Anthrax thing, he's been very observant of me and how I'm doing. "Aaron," My voice comes out almost like a song as I pour myself a cup of coffee. "I'm okay,"

"I know," I turn to look at him, he's dressed for work but his shirt is unbuttoned and his tie rests around his neck. I sigh before walking towards him, I place my coffee on the dining table before reaching for his shirt.

"You say you know, but you look at me like I could drop dead at any moment," I speak honestly as I button up his shirt and tie his tie around his neck. I gently grab his hand and press it to my chest, allowing him to feel my heartbeat. "I am breathing, I am alive, I am okay,"

He smiles down at me, pressing a kiss to my lips. I reciprocate it happily before pulling away and drinking my coffee, trying to finish it a bit quicker because we have to head into work. I walk toward the sink, gulping down the mostly hot liquid before placing the cup down in the sink as I breathe heavily. "Alright, I am ready too..."

My words trail off as I turn around and stare at Aaron with wide eyes. I can't believe what I'm seeing. Aaron Hotchner, down on one knee, a ring box in his hands, an engagement ring shining in the light as he looks at me with unsure eyes.

"Aaron," My voice is so quiet, I don't even think he heard me

"Aaron," My voice is so quiet, I don't even think he heard me.

"Abigail Marie Morgan. Will you marry me?" My eyes sting as tears well within.

"You want to marry...me?" My voice is still as soft as a whisper.

"Abigail, you have been nothing but a wonderful partner not only at work but at home. You seem to understand me better than I understand myself. I spend everyday by your side and every night right next to you. I want it to stay that way for the rest of our lives so, what do you say?"

"Yes. Yes!" He stands to his feet, walking over to me and pressing his lips against my own. He pulls away and slips the ring onto my finger before wrapping his arms around my waist, hugging me tightly. "Abigail Marie Hotchner, I like that,"

"Me too," He kisses the side of my head before pulling away. "We do have to get going though,"

I groan with discontent, for the first time I don't want to go to work. "Can't we just say we gave each other the flu and lay around in bed," I trudge after him, smiling as he laughs at my words.

"You know we can't, love," I pout as I grab my go bag and put my holster around my waist. Aaron simply smiles at me as he grabs his bag and keys, heading for the door. I follow along, heading toward the elevator as he locks up and quickly catches up with me.

I can't help but stare at the ring that glistens from its place on my finger. It's absolutely stunning and I can't help but think that maybe I don't fully deserve this. I look up from my hand at the feeling of Aaron's hand interlacing with my right. I glance up to see a small smile resting on his face as he looks ahead, leading me to the car. He opens the passenger side door and helps me in before closing it behind him and rounding the car, getting in on his side.
