TRIGGER WARNING!!
I rush towards the computer, blinking multiple times to make sure this is real. "When was this sent?" I ask, my eyes not moving from the video on the screen.
"Abbi, it's live," Penelope informs.
"Derek Morgan," Danny's voice comes through the computer clearly and my heart lodges in my throat. "It's so good to finally meet you after all these years. Gail spoke so highly of you and I can see why. Jesus, you put up a fight," He chuckles sickly.
My hands shake at my sides and my heart picks up speed. My eyes blur with tears but I blink them away, unable to look away from the screen. "And you and your sister are close right? I mean one would think so but did you know that she's keeping a major secret from you?" He asks in almost a whisper.
"Don't, please don't," I whisper, my throat beginning to close as a sob nears my lips.
"Did you, Derek, know that your sister is a whore?"
"Shut up you sick son of a bitch," Derek says lowly, sounding a bit weak. I flinch as Danny punches him across the face.
"Let me finish! As I was saying, she's a whore. She slept with her boss, with your boss as well, technically speaking. Who woulda thought Gail had it in her to be a slut?"
"You shut up you bastard!" Derek struggles against his cuffs only to get another punch from Danny.
"Stop it. Stop it. Stop it," I keep repeating my words, my voice barely a whisper as tears run down my cheeks but I'm frozen in place.
"Now, Abbi. You have a chance to save your brother so, I'd pick up the phone," As those words come through the speakers the phone rings. I immediately pick it up.
"Stop," I plead through the phone, my voice cracking.
"I've sent an address to your computer geeks computer. Meet me there. Come alone and we'll make a trade,"
"He can't drive on his own,"
"Or I could kill him," I hear a gun cock on the other end.
"No, I'll come alone,"
"No reinforcements or he's dead," The line goes dead and I place the phone down. I drop my bag and place my gun on the table before grabbing a pen and piece of paper. I politely turn the computer to me and away from Penelope. I don't say a word, feeling everyone's gaze on me. I write down the address before deleting it from Penelope's computer. I tuck the paper in my pocket and type the address onto my notes on my phone before putting it on the table, shutting it off so it'll take more time to get into it.
"The address is on my phone. Come find Derek once you get my phone unlocked and tell him it's not his fault," I then bolt out of the room, but am grabbed by Emily. I curse myself before twisting my hand out of her grip and running. I run down the stairs as fast as I can before rushing out of the office. I hop in the car and start it despite blurry eyes. I look up and see Emily run out of the building and towards the car. I pull out of the parking lot before racing down the street, taking back roads to avoid cops and other cars.
I pull into an abandoned parking lot and put the car in park but leave it running. I notice the other vehicle in the parking lot. I watch as Danny gets out of the driver's seat and walks around to the passenger seat, dragging Derek out. I quickly get out of the car and run over to Derek. I help him stand and walk him over to the car as Danny watches, his gun trained on my back. "I was going to tell you, I swear," I whisper, hoping he knows I'm talking about the Hotch situation.
