[CW, slight mention of blood and wounds.]

You and Lord Wilbur walked the halls in an awkward silence. Honestly you didn't mind it since you were focused on finding your way out of here. Luckily though, Lord Wilbur was here to help you out.

"So, while we're here do you have any questions for me perhaps?"

You looked at him, his lips curved up into a small smile. "Now that you mention it, I do have one question." You held up one finger to him.

He let out a low chuckle. "Go ahead and ask then."

You took a deep breathe in before speaking again. "Well, I was wondering how you knew of me in the first place. Ester had told me that you were the one who suggested me to King Phil."

He laughed softly. "Ah yes, I remember. You might not since it was awhile ago."

You tilted your head, waiting for him to explain to you what had happened.

^Flashback^

"Come on Wilbur hurry up!" Tommy screamed back at you.

Your brothers were way up ahead of you, apparently racing to see who was the best at horse riding.

"Sorry mate, I gotta catch up with them to make sure they won't break another bone." Phil speeded up ahead of you, leaving you behind.

Before you could stop him, he had already been too far ahead to hear you. You let out a defeated sigh as you wandered the forest alone with your horse. You looked behind every nook and tree but you couldn't find them. You cursed at the man who designed this route for not putting a clearer path.

You grunted in pain as you looked at your shoulder. An arrow had been fired at you. You looked to see who had shot you, it was a Skeleton. You shakily stood up and reached for your sword. When you felt nothing, you looked down only for you to realize you had left your sword at home. So you were now unarmed and faced against a Skeleton.

You readied yourself, preparing to fight this annoying mob with only your fists. You dodged every arrow it shot and ran towards it, punching it straight in the face. You ducked as it shot another arrow at you. You quickly knocked its feet down to the floor while you had the chance. You lifted your foot up and stomped as hard as you could on the Skeletons empty chest cavity. You panted heavily as the bones fell apart.

You fell to the floor, pulling the arrow out. This was just great - you were now alone, hurt, and lost. You prayed your horse was still there and that it had not run away scared from the arrows. As you began to close your eyes you heard a rustling sound coming from behind the trees. You looked up, a hooded figure towered over you. You hurriedly got to your feet and held your fists up again.

"Wait wait wait! I'm not a mob!" The hooded figure pulled they're hood down. It was a person.

You let out a sigh of relief, tumbling back onto the prickly grass below you. You heard them gasp and run towards you, kneeling down besides your tired body.

"Oh shit your arm!" They lightly touched your fresh wound, blood smeared onto their hand. The stranger quickly grabbed the potions that were attached to their hip and began to pour it onto your wound.

You tugged your arm away from the liquid, skeptical of what it was.

"Don't worry, it's just a healing potion." They held up the bottle filled with a pink sparkly liquid.

You nodded and allowed the stranger to help you. You winced from the stinging as they poured it onto your shoulder. Already you could feel it get better. You heard the person search through their bag, it was bandages. They began to rap the plaster around your shoulder and teared it off with their teeth, tucking the loose fabric in.

"There, all better." They stood up, helping you stand too.

The person helped you onto your horse. "Are you able to continue?" They asked.

"Yes." You responded. They smiled up at you on your horse.

"If you ever need help again just ask around. My names Y/n L/n." They turned around, stopping before leaving. "Get better and try not to tire your arm out." Then, they ran off into the woods before you could even say thank you.

^End of flashback^

"And you didn't even realize I was a prince." He said, laughing.

You smiled at the way he looked telling you the story, and how cute he sounded when he stopped to laugh.

"Wait, I do remember that. I didn't recognize you at the time because before today I had never knew what you looked like."

"Well now that your memory is replenished I would like to finally say thank you for patching me up." He patted the side of his shoulder. "You left before I could thank you. Because of you it's all better, I probably would've bled out without you."

You laughed with him as the two of you came to a stop in front of the door. "Well I couldn't just leave you there to bleed to death. Besides, if I hadn't token the time to help you I would've never went to the castle and see you again."

He looked down at his feet, smiling. "That is true."

You let out a sigh. "Well, I should probably head home before I get bombarded with mobs." You paused to look at him. "Thank you for guiding me out. You're a good friend Lord Wilbur."

His mouth curved into an even bigger smile. "Please, call me Wilbur."

The two of you finally said your goodbyes and when you walked out you could hear some chatter followed by a loud laugh.

"Aye! Wilbur my man you did it!"

"Oh shut up Tommy, Y/n might here you!"

You laughed quietly to yourself as you mounted your horse. You were more than satisfied on your first day of work in the castle.
