TW-Blood, wounds, fight scene.
You let Wilbur guide you in the dark. He flicked the lights on in his room and began to tidy up a little. Once you saw everything clearly you couldn't help but gasp at how fancy everything was. There was a small chandelier dangling from the ceiling, and the room was surprisingly huge. The ground even looked comfortable, no wonder he offered to sleep on the floor.
"Sorry it's a bit of a mess in here." He smoothed out the bed sheets to make it look more presentable.
"What are you talking about this isn't messy at all."
He scoffed. "Well I don't know about that." He set down the pillow he was fluffing. "There you go, you can go ahead and sleep now. I just wanted to make things more comfy."
You walked over to the canopy bed - it had dark, royal blue drapes around it. "Are you sure I can sleep on the bed? I don't mind sleeping on the ground."
He smiled at you. "Don't worry about it Lady Y/n." He laid out a couple of soft blankets and some pillows for himself.
You felt bad about sleeping on probably the most comfiest bed ever while he slept on the ground in his own room. You tried to persuade him into switching places but he kept on insisting you got the more comfier option. Honestly you didn't expect him to be this kind to you.
You lifted the soft blankets up, your hand grazing over the silk sheets. You muttered a quiet 'woah' under your breath as you did. Your face got red when you realized Wilbur heard you. You got under the covers and your body completely relaxed. You hadn't realized just how tired you were.
"I can't thank you enough Wilbur." You muttered.
He giggled softly. "You don't have to thank me Lady Y/n."
"Y/n." You closed your eyes. "Just call me Y/n from now on, no Lady."
He inhaled. "Of course, Y/n." You could hear him smiling when he spoke which made you smile.
You listened to his breathing as you shifted in bed. You felt your eyes become heavy as they forcefully shut closed. You did want to talk to him more but you had been up since early in the morning and couldn't help but let the exhaustion take over you.

The next morning you woke up feeling better then ever. That had to been the most comfortable and peaceful experience you've ever had. Your eyes fluttered open as you got up. You leaned over to see if Wilbur was awake or not. Your face contorted into a confused expression when you realized he wasn't there. You swiftly got up, your gaze immediately setting on a paper on his desk. You picked it up and began to read it.
'Y/n, I hope you slept well. I was called into an unexpected meeting and had to leave while you were still asleep. I hope you have a good day off, and please don't forget to eat something when you get home. I'm sorry I couldn't wish you a safe travels before leaving. Till we meet again, Wilbur.'
You smiled at the sweet words he wrote to you. Did he really care that much? You held the letter to your chest and let out a happy sigh. You thought about what his thought process was when writing this. Maybe he was only being a kind friend, and didn't mean it in the way you were thinking. That was probably the case.
You folded the letter and slid it into your pocket. You gathered your things and checked your appearance before leaving his room. Thankfully no one was there when you exited, you didn't want people getting the wrong idea. When you walked out of the castle the sun was already up. As you walked to the stables you looked around you. You had never explored the outside part of the place.
