Thursday.
Another day, another session. Although it was somehow wrong to think about it but Taeyong's happy whenever Jaehyun goes to a session or therapy. So far, he's been visiting Jaehyun in their apartment. He'll be stopping by for a short time, draw and write a few messages on the walls and ceiling again, maybe have a short conversation with Taeyong mostly opening up to Jaehyun, and the list goes on.
Taeyong was also trying to get Jaehyun to talk more. The man was afraid that he might say something bad or weird, but the boy lets him anything whenever he questions something. Of course, he has his limits. Outside of sessions, it's a good way to practice Jaehyun to be social and feel comfortable talking to someone. It wasn't the easiest but Jaehyun's making progress.
"Mom, I'll drive you to your office," Taeyong uttered, offering his mother to let him drive.
"Okay, your dad was actually "flexing" how well you drive because he's the one teaching. I'll be the judge of that," she said, teasingly smirking at her husband seated infront of her.
"Yongie won't fail me," his father uttered enthusiastically, "Right, Yongie?"
"I'll do my best, I guess, dad," Taeyong said sheepishly.
His mother stood, "Let's go then."
The boy nodded. He bids goodbye to his father and sister before he and his mother went out of their home. Taeyong ran and stepped into the driver's seat, putting his seatbelt and puts the keys in to start the engine. His mother sat on the passenger seat and closed the door beside her.
"You won't drive Jaehyun to the office?" she asked.
Taeyong hummed while he backs up the car out of the garage, "His auntie was home today to accompany him."
"I heard you two are going well with each other," she said with a smile.
"I don't know. He doesn't really say much, maybe I'm just really talkative and he doesn't have any choice but to stay and listen to me," the boy answered with a chuckle while he drives carefully, not wanting to disappoint his father.
"Atleast he's listening to you."
Taeyong nodded, "I really wish I'm helping him. I don't really know if I'm making his life more worth living or I'm just making it worse."
"Yong," she called, which made her son to look at her while they're on traffic, "You may not hear it from him, but if you see some progress, you're doing things right. Don't be stressed about it. I told you to take care of yourself, didn't I?"
The boy nodded, smiling back at her, "Yeah..."
A few more minutes, they finally arrived at the building. Taeyong's mother went it, leaving his son to wait for Jaehyun and the man's aunt outside. The little white kitten with orange and black spots caught his eye which actually distracted him. He sat by the stairs and called the kitten who timidly walked towards the boy.
With an adoring smile on his face, Taeyong was quite a sucker for strays. He doesn't have any pets at the moment and, being with some strays and animals in the clinic just makes him less lonely sometimes. Also, it's a way to kill some time.
Taeyong giggled while he played with the kitten with his hand. Even if he'll get some scratches, he was fine with it. Maybe he'll just put on a few bandaids later when he gets to the clinic. A few minutes, a car arrived and parked by the allotted area infront. He looked up and saw the familiar vehicle. He stood up with a big smile on his face.
