"You what?!"

"Hey, atleast I'm not a coward like you."

"This isn't about me!"

Taeyong smirked as he crossed his arms, chin up high and giving a hearty laugh, "Oh, come on. You can't deny that."

Johnny rolled his eyes at him, "So...what did he say? What was his reaction?"

The boy hummed, "Nothing, really. I told him not to think about it too much then I drove him home. I'm not expecting him to return my feelings. I just want him to know that someone likes him."

"You're weird."

"What do you mean?!"

The man sighed, "What now? What if his aunt called you to say that he doesn't want to see you for a while?"

"Then..." Taeyong trailed off, trying to think of what he would do if that really happened. He hummed and smiled, "It's fine. It's his decision."

Jaehyun actually look surprised, he was having mixed emotions at that moment. Taeyong knew he doesn't know what to say so he had to cut off the awkward mood. He didn't regret it, he was actually happy to be able to tell that to Jaehyun. The man needs to know that. Come to think of it, Taeyong became anxious about Jaehyun's thoughts about the sudden confession.

"You're smiling but you're upset."

"Who wouldn't?" Taeyong softly giggled, "But y'know what, atleast I was able to tell him my feelings. It's better than never. Also, this is my first time having feelings for someone so, make the most of it...I guess."

The man stared at his friend with furrowed eyebrows and a frown. Taeyong raised an eyebrow at him and took a sip on his cold drink on the table. It took a few seconds before the boy had enough of Johnny intensely staring at him.

"What's your problem, Suh?"

"Why do I feel sad for you? It's your first time liking someone and immediately went like the titanic."

"Johnny, don't. I hate you."

The man leaned on the table, "Dude, you seemed to really like the guy. This isn't even a crush anymore!"

"Don't exaggerate. It's not like he's the only guy around," the boy said and will eat his words in a minute.

"Yeah...yeah, it's not like moving on is a hard thing."

"What do you even know about moving on?!"

"If you got dumped, I'm here, Yong--"

"Shut up!"

Johnny suddenly clicked his fingers, "Ah, by the way, Ten's asking you help again this Sunday. Should I tell him that it depends if you got dumped--"

"I'll literally get dumped if you keep saying it," Taeyong whined and covering his face with his palms.

"No, seriously. Ten really wants you to come over again," the man said.

"Tell him I'll come," but then he stood from his seat with his bag on his shoulder, "But I need to go now."

"Okay, goodluck."

Taeyong didn't mind whatever Johnny was saying. He goes to Jaehyun's apartment with an open and calm mind. There's no need to be uncomfortable and overthink. It was just a confession. Though, Taeyong wasn't fully honest with it. Maybe, Johnny's right.

Jaehyun's more than just a crush to him.

Arriving at the building, he huffed and walked towards the door. He softly knocked against the wood and waited for someone to accept it. Taeyong waited anxiously but it opened after a few seconds later. He smiled warmly as his aunt, once again, greeted him.

"Hello, Ms. Jung," he greeted cheerfully.

"Oh, Taeyong," then she slapped her forehead and sighed, "I'm sorry, I wasn't able to text you but Jaehyun told me he doesn't want any visitors at the moment."

"Hm? Why? Did he give you any reason? He was just fine last night," the boy asked, slowly getting upset at thought of Jaehyun pushing him away, just like what happened on day one. But he didn't remove his smile, atleast he was trying to.

"He just came up to me and told me that he wants to be alone for a while. I'm sorry, he does that when he's confused and anxious. I'll call you if he ever needs someone."

Taeyong hummed and chuckled, "I think it was my fault why he's acting like this."

"Eh? Why?"

"I...like your nephew and I did confess last night. Maybe, I surprised me too much."

Then she looked surprised but gave a soft laugh, "I'm sorry for laughing. I'm just happy that someone likes and cares for Jaehyun. Don't worry, I'll keep an eye on him. He'll come around. He's been doing well ever since you came so I hope he won't kick you out or something."

"I'll respect whatever decision he makes, Ms. Jung. I'll be here to support him."

The lady nodded, "Thank you, Taeyongie. I'll see you around then."

The boy nodded, "Yes. Thank you as well, Ms. Jung. Take care."

Then the door softly closed infront of him. Taeyong's smile slowly faded and his heart felt heavy.

This is the feeling of being rejected.

Taeyong felt his feet stuck but he dragged them, remembering that he still has work. He checked the time on his phone and there was still a lot of time for him to kill. He should go back and talk to Johnny. He kind of needs a hug right now. A warm and big hug to comfort him.

And so he did. He went back to the university and went to where Johnny was supposed to be in. The boy ran towards to the place where Johnny and Ten would spend some time in, which is under the tree by the soccer field.

Taeyong did see them. Ten sleeping with his head leaning on Johnny's shoulder while Johnny was doing something on his phone. When the man noticed his friend's presence, Johnny felt confused and accidentally woke Ten up.

"Yong?" Johnny called.

The boy pouted, "I-I kinda need a hug..."

Ten looked worried. He spread his arms open for Taeyong, "Why? What happened?"

Taeyong went and sat in between them, letting Ten to hug and Johnny patting the boy's head, "I'll just treat you something if that'll make you see better. And I'm sorry for jinxing it."

"It's all your fault."

"That's why I'm saying sorry! What do you mean?!"
