Hotel Cryptid [completed]

Juniper stood at the front desk of the hotel waiting for the next family to come check-in and then head to their room. When you work for at this hotel for years, you get used to how creepily quiet the hotel can get. If you don't know about this hotel, I don't blame you. Not many do. No one really knows where the hotel is, it just sort of finds you. The hotel floors are named after different Cryptids. Cryptids are creatures no one can prove exist. Each floor has a theme that matches it's name. Like the floor Kraken, has a play place that is pirate themed. 

As Juniper was reading a magazine on paranormal creatures, a family of five walked in. A mother, a father, two boys and one girl. They walk up to the front desk. "Hello. We're here to check in. We got caught in a storm and need a place to stay. Any rooms open?". The man states. Juniper looks up, "Alright, I see. I'll get you your room key and get a escort for you". "Escort?", the woman asks. "Yes, an escort. We here at the Cryptid hotel don't want any of our lovely guests getting lost. So you'll be on floor Kraken, the lovely Dahlia will escort you", Juniper pauses and looks at the woman and smiles, "She's head of Pirates here". "Pirates?!", the younger boy, whom looked to be around 6, piped up. Juniper smiled more, "Yeah, pirates. Our pirate Captain, Dahlia, loves to teach young lads and lassies about the Pirate code, always be loyal to your fellow pirate mates". The boy looked very excited. 

Juniper pressed a button and handed a key to them. "Dahlia will be down shortly", Juniper said. A few seconds later, a red head girl came running down the stairs, looking like a pirate. "And here she is. Meet your captain, Dahlia". Juniper stated. "Aye mateys!", Dahlia exclaimed. Dahlia took off her hat and did a sort of silly bow, "Hello mates, I'm your Captain. Dahlia!", she said. 

Dahlia took them away to their floor, saying, "We also have a beautiful mermaid named Aria! We're good friends!", the little boy and girl both squealed, "Mermaid?!", they both said and Dahlia nodded. They left and it was creepily quiet again. 

Beckett, or Beck, as we call her, walks up to Juniper. "The kids have too much of a interesting type. They'll be singled out by the Boss", Beck states. "Yeah. Poor kids", Juniper says. "I need to start my shift on floor Big Foot. I'll see you later", Beckett says as she walks away. 

He walks in a few minutes later and stands behind Juniper, placing a hand on her shoulder. "Those children were interesting. Should make good targets", he states. "I guess, Boss", Juniper says, looking down. He walked away, a sinister smile on his face.
