Nathaniel and Jay-Jay, both now seventeen, walk down the street in a town. Ever since they met, they hung out non-stop. It was frowned upon that   Jay-Jay and Nathaniel hung out. So they often just stayed in the woods, where Nathaniel lived.

"So, what do you wanna do?", Jay-Jay asks. "Uh, what about we go on a walk?", Nathaniel offers an answer, as they had time to kill. Jay-Jay thinks about it and agrees. Whenever she was around Nathaniel, she wears her pants, instead of a dress. Never when walking around town. No. She would be belittled, yelled at and her father would be livid.

Both of them get up and go walking through the woods. The woods, at least the part they were in, was filled with flowers, trees, fruits, berries and more. You could reach up at a tree and pull an apple. There was also many animals. Animals that roamed the woods. Like deer and squirrels. Birds chirped and rabbits hopped all throughout this forest. It was honestly peaceful.

Jay-Jay and Nathaniel continued walking. But the farther they walked, the darker it got. It was interesting. Suddenly, it started to rain. Large, heavy drops of rain came down, soaking them easily. A large crack of thunder and lighting cracked down.

"We should probably leave", Nathaniel said, grabbing Jay-Jay by her hand and going back to the hotel. They made their way through the woods, listening to the sounds of the rain. They were heading to the hotel, Tobias should be busy in town, not at the hotel. He probably wouldn't notice Nathaniel being there.

It took a while, but they made it to the hotel. It was like the woods twisted around, making them get lost. That, or they need to be better at knowing the way to places. Like seriously. Jay-Jay has gotten lost in the woods way too many times.

They go into Jay-Jay's room. She grabs Nathaniel a change of clothing and leaves him be whilst she changes in a different room. When they finish, they snuggle up together in her bed. Jay-Jay, who is tired from a long day, sort of sprawls out, halfway on top of Nathaniel. He doesn't mind. They snuggle a lot and it is often that she falls asleep first. He runs his fingers through her hair and sighs.

"Tired, huh?", Nathaniel remarks. Jay-Jay tiredly nods in response, halfway to falling asleep right there. He puts his arm around her and closes his eyes. Soon enough, they both are out cold.

Juniper sits in her room, reading a book. Still the history on Hotel Cryptid. Also, beside her is Jay-Jay's old file. She had been looking through it previously. She had music playing through her headphones to distract herself from the outside world. it's something she did often. Listen to music with her headphones while others work. She decided to take a break that day. I mean, she works pretty much 24/7.

Meanwhile, Maria, whom is smoking by a window in the meeting room, is wondering about other workers at the hotel. Mainly the ones she doesn't know much about. There is Calico, but really no one knows anything about her, there is Michelle, but she doesn't talk often, Georgia, but her accident happened a while ago, and... Juniper. People only really know that she basically runs the hotel and has been there pretty much the longest, or at least known Boss the longest.

It's weird, really. People at least know how Calico, Michelle and Georgia died. But not Juniper.

Getting up, Maria walks down to the workers' quarters. Walking by rooms, she sees Juniper's room door shut, along with a piece of paper that has a realistic drawing of a young girl on the ground. Picking it up, she sees a note on the back, "To my darling J, love Nathaniel", Maria read to herself. Walking back to the meeting room, she wonders. "Nathaniel? There isn't anyone here with that name". Maria sits back down, thinking about why this note was outside Juniper's room and why it is from a man named Nathaniel. Taking a drag from her cigarette, she quietly thinks to herself. "Is Juniper not who she says she is?", she asks.
