Beckett was a lovely wife. It was 1981. She lived with her husband, Rey Campbell. She was Beckett Campbell. She lived her best life with the man she loved oh so much.
Beckett owned a café called "Mr and Mrs café and bakery". She stated there everyday from 6:30 a.m to 11:55 p.m. It was a busy day, but she was doing something she loved.
Rey owned a bakery right best to her Café. He called it. They had it connected. It held the same name as the café. He also worked long shifts. They got up and went to sleep the same time everyday.
Beckett was a black woman with blonde hair. It got many stares, but it was natural unlike what some people think. She didn't know how, nor did the doctors. They just called it "A genetic condition". She didn't mind it though.
One day though, talk was going around town about a new, trendy hotel called "Hotel Cryptid". It was the night spot for drinks. Even if you weren't staying, you could get a few drinks at the bar.
Beckett was able to convince Rey to take her there as a date night. They didn't have any children and no plans for the night, so they were open to it.
That night they had a blast. The drinks were so delightful. They both got cocktails and danced the night away. Both laughing and smiling. Anyone who saw them could swear they were soulmates.
As they were leaving, Beckett realized she had left her coat. Quickly she told her husband and went inside while he waiting outside for her.
The once lively hallways was dead quiet now, which sent off red flags in her mind as they had just left. There was barely any light, no one was dancing, laughing or even there. Besides one. A girl with black hair that had a white streak in the middle. Her dark skin looked cracked with purple veins. She was just sitting there, alone, drinking a cocktail. "You should leave while you can", the woman said, sipping her fruity drink. "What?", Beckett asked the woman, utterly confused. "Leave while you can",the strange woman said again. The woman turned around to reveal white eyes and a bite mark on her cheek.the veins around that was a dark purple. There were more bite marks on her skin with dark purple veins around them.
Beckett gasped at the sight of the woman. The woman got up. "leave while you can! Please! Don't be like me! I have a family!", The woman yells at Beckett, who's now shaking at the sight of the woman. Beckett bolted away, her hair flying in the wind. She ran deeper into the hotel to get away from the woman who was now screaming about how she wanted to leave.
Once away from the woman, she stopped breathed in and out. She needed air. It was like there was just no air. Hallucinations from the drink is what she decided the reason she saw that horrific sight.
Beckett then heard soft music from the hall. She walked that way. Potentially someone was there who could help her leave.
Beckett entered a room that had the soft piano playing. There she saw a man with black hair playing the piano. Beckett walked in. "Hello.", She asked.
"Hello ma'am. Welcome to the mystic hotel that surrounds the lives of our workers", the man sings. He sounds...happy. This gave Beckett off vibes. More red flags. "Can you help me?", Beckett asks the man. "Oh why I can. But in what way?", He sings to her. "I want to leave", she tells him. The man stops playing the piano. A big grin on his face. "then I can help you, gorgeous", he tells her. Beckett could finally see his eyes. Snake green eyes. They help someone bad in them. Misery. Pain. Sorrow. His eyes held it all.
The next thing Beckett knew was that his man had slit her throat. She gasped and gasped for air as the world slowly went black. She tried to stop the bleeding but it wouldn't work. She fell to her knees. She felt the dark, red liquid spill on to her hands. It smelled metallic. The horrid smell filled the air. But the man wasn't effected by it. That's when everything had gone black for her.
Beckett woke up later in a room. She must've been dreaming. She got up and ran out. "Rey?!", She yelled for her husband. She ran. This didn't look like her house. It looked like... Like... The Hotel!
Beckett found out what happened. She had died.
Juniper laid in her bed. "Juniper, hunny", a voice said in the dark of her room. "Yes?", She asked. "You know what to do", the voice says, happily yet grimly. "I do father"
