Recap:

A mischievous smile formed on his soft pink lips, while his eyes flickered gold. I just had to open my mouth. I held my hands up and began walking backwards. As long as he doesn't touch me, I'm fine.

"Why are you walking away?" he asked.

"Because we have to go back. Remember what you said, John. We can't be alone."

"Did I mention it's stronger for the guy? It's 10 times worst."

"Shit," I muttered under my breath.

"John, why don't we talk about this?" I put my hands up defensively and tried to calm down. I don't think being scared will help the situation.

"Why should we talk about this?" he said with a voice deeper than usual.

Oh, god. If he keeps talking I don't thing I'm going to resist him.

He got in one of those positions that animals get when they are ready to jump on their prey. I got in a position ready to run away. In a split second he jumped at me. I moved to the side, barely missing him.

He twirled around with an unhappy expression on his pretty face. Dang it! I need to get away. I don't think I'm ready even if this mark says the opposite.

"John, please? We're suppose to be looking for Ethan."

He closed his eyes and took deep breaths. After a while he opened them again. They were back to their normal blue, but with some gold in them.

"You're right. Sorry. Got carried away a little."

I smiled. "I'm glad you're back to your real self."

He nodded and smiled back, making my insides melt. Not literally, but yeah you know what I mean.

I turned around and began walking into the woods. I would've runed because I'm sure we are really behind, but I don't want to take the risk of John chasing after me. If I run that will be his first instinct, and he wont be able to fight it.

"I think he went that way." I pointed to the right. I looked back at John. I jumped about ten feet in the air when I saw him standing not even a foot away. "You scared me." I said, with a hand on hy heart.

I looked up at him and saw him with him looking straight a head. His eyes had turned amber. For a minute I was worried that he was in the mood again until I saw his hands in fists. I followed his eyes to where he was looking, but I didn't see anything.

"There's something over there, about a mile away...and it's not Ethan," he growled. He turned back to me. "Go back." I stood there not moving. "Go!" he snarled.

I crossed my arms and stood there looking at him. "I'm not going anywhere without you."

He sighed. "You are so stubborn."

"So I've been told."

"Just stay behind me and if I tell you to run, run."

"Okay," I lied.

He took my hand in his and together we walked to the direction where he heard something.

When we finally got there, there was nothing there.

"Maybe you heard wrong," I said.

"No," he said. His eyes roaming the entire area as if someone was here. "I heard something here."

"Why didn't I hear it?"

"Because my senses are better than yours," he responded.

There was movement in a bush close by. John was infront of me in a second gurading me from whatever was in there. I couldn't see anything due to his back blocking any view I had of the bush. I heard something move again.
