35. Forever Mates

 I haven't written in a while so I thought I should put a recap.

Recap:

"You're wrong," said Matt from the floor. He stood up and dusted himself. "It'll take him a day to get to New York. Lucian sent man two days ago. By the time he gets there, she'll be gone."

I grabbed him by the collar and threw him on the brick wall. He fell to the ground groaning and holding his back. He spit blood from his mouth. I walked forward for another throw but got stopped by my father.

"They'll heard us!" he snapped. "Calm down John. I know you're worried about her."

"He's right," said Luke. "If we kill them now, by the time they bring her back, they'll see that their Alpha is dead and we'll get her back."

"Calm down John."

I closed my eyes. "Fine."

"Get ready to attack," said Luke.

Everyone crouched down and got in fighting position. The gates opened and all hell broke loose.

Just in case you guys forgot what happened with John's POV. If you remember just skip!

John's POV

The gates opened to reveal part of the Midnight pack. They were already in wolf form, snarling and growling at us. The only thing behind them was forest, no house or mansion that showed where the Alpha lived. I quickly turned into my black wolf like the others. My clothes laid in the ground only in shreds.

Those were my new shoes.

I shook my head. I can get new ones later. Now is not the time to think about my new destroyed shoes.

The wolf that seemed to be the leader stepped forward. He snarled, showing his teeth at us, drool coming out of his mouth and landing on the forest floor. I made a disgusted noise. These guys act like animals.

He howled and all the wolves behind him charged at us. The one that seemed to be the leader ran back and disappeared into the woods behind them. I didn't waste any time to follow him.

I pushed wolves with my head as I was following him. Two wolves got in my way. Both of them came charging to me at the same time. One was aiming for my neck, the other for my shoulder. I waited for them and jumped when they were close enough. They ran straight into a tree. I snorted at them and continued following the other wolf.

Soon Allen joined next to me. I looked at him and nodded my head. He nodded back and looked forward.

He's going to inform him of our attack, Allen said telepathically.

I know, we need to stop him.

The wolf soon came in view. I increased my speed and jumped over him. The wolf stopped and looked behind him, seeing he was cornered. He started backing away slowly, keeping an eye on both of us. Allen growled and lunged at him. The wolf gave one last howl before falling to the ground.

You think he heard? asked Allen.

I looked at the direction the wolf was heading to. I don't know, we should go check it out just in case.

Allen looked at me unsure. What if they catch us? They don't even know we're here. From what I heard their home is miles from here. They can't even hear the battle going on.
