Chapter 12 : Recognition

*Shika's POV*
"Good morning! I hope I'm not interrupting anything." I woke up bright and early to prepare for today. I decided I wanted company and Camus was busy teaching Cecil, so I went to where Syo was staying.

Opening the door, I found that Mikaze was the only one in the room. Looking around, I noticed the flower that I gave Syo recently. It was in a vase filled with water, sitting by the window to keep it alive.

"Syo is currently with the others listening to Masato and his rehearsal for an audition. He may be busy right now." He spoke to me without looking at the door.

"Oh, pardon my intrusion Mikaze-senpai. I'll be taking my leave." I was about to close the door when he called for me. He questioned why I was asking for Syo in the first place. I just wanted company as I was going for a photoshoot since I was asked to take pictures for a magazine.

"I will accompany you." He got to his feet and came to the door, staring down at me.

"Oh, well thank you Mikaze-senpai." I quickly bowed to him before heading out. Getting in the car, I sat next to him for the drive to the studio. He kept looking at me, examining my appearance. It did make me a bit uncomfortable but I put it aside, he did say we were test subjects to him so it's expected.

Making it to the studio, I greeted everyone that was taking part in the photoshoot. I got ready, pulling on the first outfit that was prepared for me.

I did many poses for the magazine, gaining everyone's attention with how I expressed myself. With each outfit, I expressed myself while fitting the appearance of the clothing.

After the photoshoot, we got in the car to head to the last appointment I had for the day. It was an interview to ask me about my life at school leading up to my recent debut.

"You express yourself easily, through your voice and body language. It constantly catches the attention of others and draws them into you. You're an odd girl." His comment made me giggle. Whether it was a compliment or insult, I found it funny nonetheless.

We arrived at the company and entered to do the interview. I refused makeup and just washed my face to freshen up. Fixing my choker and hair clip, I waited for the interviewer to introduce me.

"For this episode of Get To Know, we will be interviewing a new idol that has gotten a large amount of attention since her debut. We will be interviewing Shika Kazu from the Shining Agency along with Ai Mikaze who has accompanied her today." We stepped on the stage and took a seat.

"Kazu-san, you are a new rising idol that has gained a large fanbase since your debut. What are your thoughts on that?" I tries to fight off the cringe feeling from hearing my last name to answer the question.

"It's really exciting to see all the attention I've gotten recently. I've even received fan mail from fellow supporters, so I respond to each letter I get." I answered with a smile.

"Wow! Such an honest response! Tell me, what was it like attending Saotome Academy?"

"It was quite the experience there. Meeting all those that were striving to become composers and idols made me realize that if I wanted to aim for the top, I had to surpass them. Even then, I made a lot of good friends there, like the currently well known Starish!"

"You went to school with Starish?! What were they like at school?"

"Well, they're pretty much the same as they are now. They've grown a lot since the day I met them. They've grown as persons, both in soul and music. I'm really glad to have met them."
