Chapter 17 : Concert Battle

Here we are, already closing off season 2! All images, songs and videos used don't belong to me, they belong to their rightful owners. Straight into the season finale!

*Shika's POV*
The song for the concert was finally complete and ready. I decided to choose a different approach for my performance, so I wrote a whole new song for it. Starish got the song from Haruka for the concert as well. The music alone had a feeling of happiness in it.

Ringo and Tomo came over with our stage costumes. I requested a certain outfit and was pleased with the outcome. Holding it up, I smiled to see the detail and design on it.

"Your outfit has wings!" The others noticed the white wings on the back. I kept the new song a secret, but the outfit almost gave it away. Putting a finger to my lips, I kept the reason a secret.

"Shika, where are you going? The dance room is this way." Starish saw me walking the opposite direction. I told them that my practice was different so I needed a different work space. They will get to see the final product when the concert arrived.

For the time being, I practiced by myself to keep everything a secret. I knew Starish would keep their word to avoid peeking, but I also expected Quartet Night to show no interest in my practice. Right as I was about to sing, I heard the sound of something creaking.

"Do not mind me, proceed with your practice." Mikaze took his seat in the corner with Reiji standing next to him.

"Well they're not really participating in the concert, so I guess it's okay." Taking a deep breath, I sang the song and went through the routine. As I sang, I felt more eyes on me but ignored them. Finishing the song, I looked behind me to see all of Quartet Night watching me.

"They never really showed interest in me, so why now? Are they...worried about me? Well, whatever the reason is, I'm actually kind of happy that they were watching."

Grabbing a bottle, I hydrated myself before leaving the room. Heading back to my room, I carried out my usual routine. I wanted to do something to help with recognition, but I decided to wait until after the concert to do it. As time passed, I anticipate the battle until it was finally here.

*Time Skip*
"You look adorable Shika-chan!" We were gathered in a room, waiting for the concert to begin. My outfit was a simple white dress and gloves with the wings on the back. I had a different approach, so I needed to be on stage ready to perform.

"I'm glad you think so. My performance won't have much dancing, but look forward to it!" A smile spread on my face as I calmed my heart. All the practice and preparation put into this song, it was for those close to my heart. My mother, my friends, my fans, everyone that helped me to be at this spot.

The concert finally began, with Heavens performing first. Their presence alone was overwhelming. The aura they emitted was powerful, making my legs weak. I had to try and out do them and their powerful performance. Doubt started to fill my heart, wondering if I'll be able to pull through.

A hand on my shoulder snapped me out of my small panic attack. Looking behind me, I saw the smile of Otoya. Each of the boys embraced me, cheering me on and calming me down. Syo planted a kiss on my head, reassuring me that it'll be okay. Nodding to them, I left the room to get ready since I was after Heavens.

While I got ready, I heard Heavens talking after their performance. They stated that challenging them was foolish. Hearing them talk about me and Starish that way made me mad, but I calmed myself down. Touching the ruby necklace, I thought about the love I had for everyone. That love was my fuel and energy for this performance. The moment I was introduced, I started singing while descending from the top, with help of wires.
