Chapter 19 : Recording

*Shika's POV*
"It's recording day!" Excited about the duet song, I ran out my room to get Syo. Knocking on the door, I was greeted by Mikaze. Syo was helping out Natsuki since he was practicing for his unit group work with Otoya.

"You'll do great Na-chan! I know it!" I cheered him on. His smile made my own bigger as I waved to him. Mikaze decided to come with us so we made our way to the recording studio.

Syo and I practiced in our own time, even posting a sneak peek for the song on my account. Fans were excited for the song, so while we waited for our time to go, I checked with my fans to get their opinions on Starish.

They were all positive about them. Whether about the members as a group or individuals, they were all supportive of them. Finally, it was our time so we stepped into the room.

Getting the headset on, I took my spot as Syo did the same. Mikaze asked if we were ready, I nodded but Syo stayed still. I knew this since highschool, but he would get nervous during recording. Only his friends could calm him down, so I reach over and held his hand.

He looked over to me, the sweat on his face from his panicking flying off to make eye contact with me. Smiling at him, I gave him a comforting squeeze. He smiled back, calming down and letting go of my hand. I asked Mikaze to take pictures and videos for me to post on my account, so he snapped the picture of us smiling together.

"Alright, I'm ready! Let's go!" On his count, the music started and we recorded the song.

This was by far my favourite song. The beat, the composition, the vocals, I loved everything about it. Both of our vocals went together well, blending in and accompanying each other. Looking over to him, we shared smiles as we sang the chorus to end the song.

Mikaze signalled that we were done recording, so we left the room to listen to the playback. It was perfect, so perfect that we didn't need to do it over. High fiving Syo, I confirmed the completion of the song and anticipated the hard copy to come out.

"Your voice really blows me away Shika, I never get tired of hearing it." Syo spoke to me as we made our way out the building.

"Same here Syo-kun, whenever I hear your voice I can't help but feel happy." We stepped through the door to see Reiji with Yoru in his car.

"Rei-chan! Yoru! What are you guys doing here?" We approached the car.

"To treat you of course, hop in!" Getting in the car, he drove us to a restaurant that had his name on it. It was a family restaurant, run by his mother and siblings. He got us free food to eat, even some dog food for Yoru, so we ate together to pass the time.

"Shika-chan, how was the song?" Reiji asked once he finished his meal. Nodding to Mikaze, he showed him the pictures and videos that were taken.

"Amazing! You definitely are blessed by the gods. Just try to keep your 'relationship' on the low. Even simple glances will make your fans speculate." I waved him off, stating that the fans know that we're close. I did say in an interview that I knew Starish from highschool, so it's no surprise that we would get along well. However, he did have a point so I made sure to be careful.

After eating, we returned to the dorms to rest ourselves. Playing with Yoru, I got a knock on the door. Opening it, I was greeted by Ringo holding a box for me.
