Season 3 finale is here, so let's get to it. All images, songs and videos used don't belong to me, they belong to their rightful owners. Straight into the finale we go!
*Shika's POV*
The days approaching Triple S were passing fast. Starish finally made a revolution by changing Quartet Night with their music, so they were participating in the concert.Since all three of us were competing, we were officially enemies for the time being. Our senpais moved out the dorms, so I moved back into my old dorm room. Even then, I still practiced with Starish and Haruka, preparing for the concert.
The day finally came for the concert. I gave Yoru a final hug before leaving him with Tomo and heading backstage. Getting my outift on, I did vocal exercises to prepare my voice. Once I knew I was ready, I grabbed my microphone and made my way down the corridor.
Greeting Starish, I wished them good luck as we walked together. Quartet Night walked past us, not even making eye contact. They declared that we were enemies, so they were more distant.
The first group to go perform was Quartet Night, seeing them on screen in my room. They looked amazing, their stage presence was powerful as they performed Evolution Eve. They are definitely a group that I have to surpass if I wanted to get the spot. A buzz in my room signaled that I was next.
"I'm going up, wish me luck!" Running to the stage, I hugged Haruka and got on stage as the lights dimmed to hide me. While the announcer spoke about me, the cheers of my fans filled my heart with love and happiness. This was the same love and happiness that I would return back to them with this song. The music started playing as lights flashed on stage. When the beat started, I came in view and started the song.
This song was for all those that gave me love and support from my debut. This song was for my fans, without them I wouldn't be where I am now. Their cries reached out to me and brought me to this stage to perform.
As I sang, I pointed the microphone to everyone to sing along. Dancing to the song, I felt the presence of Aphrodite again. She danced with me, going over the audience as I sang out to them. During the interlude, I ran along the stage to touch their hands, smiling at them.
As I sang the chorus, my fans sang along as they waved the glowsticks to the beat. Feeling their love and support made me happy that I agreed to take part in the concert. When the song ended, cheers of my name echoed in the stadium.
Waving to them, I got off stage and returned to my room to watch the other groups perform. Each group was amazing in their own way, but I was anticipating Starish and their performance. Finally, they were introduced and they got on stage to sing their new song, Serious Love Revolutions.
It was so upbeat and cheerful that I was chanting their names when they sang. It really was a revolution, but it felt like they were on the same level as Quartet Night. As their performance ended, the announcer was getting ready to close off and announce the winner when the lights went out.
The voice of someone speaking made me freeze. It was a voice I was too familiar with. Running out the room, I ran to where Haruka was. By the time I made it, I saw who I heard. Eiichi Otori, standing on a pillar with six other members.
"They've grown...both in size and power. This is the new Heavens." They performed their song, blowing us all away by the power in their voices. I felt myself getting burnt by a dragon, scorching my soul from their performance.
Each of them introduced themselves. A familiar face appeared, Eiji Otori, the only member of the Otori's that I got along with. Each member looked like a counterpart for each member of Starish. It was surreal to see Heavens back and better than ever.
"Starish? Quartet Night? Shika?" I narrowed my eyes at Eiichi as he declared that Heavens will rule the world of music.
"Talk all you like. I've beaten you once and I'll beat you again to bring my music to the world!" I stepped forward for them to get a view of me.
Chants of our names echoed in the stadium. Starish, Quartet Night, Heavens, Shika, all four of us heard our names being chanted by our fans. As the judges came to a decision, all the groups gathered on stage. Standing between Starish and Quartet Night, I waited to hear who would be the opening artist.
Hearing that Heavens wasn't included because they didn't enter formally shocked me. Even though their performance was one of the best, the judges were following the rules.
"The Triple S opening artist is...." I held my hands close to my chest as the anticipation built up within me.
"Shika!" Shock took over my body. I couldn't believe that I won. For some reason, I wasn't as happy about it as I thought. It felt like I didn't deserve it. My performance was good, better than Quartet Night and Starish, but after Heavens performance, I realized that I needed to grow more.
The cheers of the fans were for all four of us. Cheers for Starish, Quartet Night, Heavens and myself. The microphone was handed to me, so I stepped into the spotlight.
"As much as I am honored to be given the role, I must decline the opportunity. I always listen to my fans and right now their voices are not only calling out my name. They're calling out for Starish, Quartet Night and Heavens. I cannot take this opportunity when I know that we're on common ground. The best of the best deserves to be the opening artist." The judges and audience were shocked from my declination of the opportunity.
"Instead, I request that all four of us have another competition. One to prove once and for all who is the best. Each of us has our own charm, but we're still on the same level. Only those that are at the top should claim this role, so I wish to have a rematch to prove who is the best." I knew this was planned by Eiichi. He knew how I worked, how I acted, how my thought process worked.
Even then, I wasn't doing this for him. This was for myself, to grow more and improve to prove once and for all that I'm the best. Better than Starish, better than Quartet Night and better than Heavens. As the cheers of our fans continued, the judges agreed to look into it and tell us the details at a later date. Bowing to them, I returned the microphone and returned to my room to relax.
"Shika!" Everyone barged in my room. Yoru jumped on my lap, licking my face in excitement. Everyone was still shocked by my decision, but I told them that I was listening to my heart and my fans. I knew we were on the same level, heck Heavens might even be above us, so I wanted the opportunity to rise above and prove who is the best, so that the world could hear my music.
Just like that, the Triple S entry concert came to a close. We waited for the details regarding my idea. I waited for the day where I would compete against Heavens again, getting to claim victory to rub it into Eiichi's face.
It may have been short, but that's how we shall close off Season Three. The next and final season will be much longer, I promise that. So, I'll see you in the final season!
