Ian's POV:-

I stayed at the hospital last night because a patient came in who was critical. Dr Helen Sharpe and I were looking after the patient for the whole night. Today the patients test reports came in. I was studying the reports and CT scan, all the reports uptill now were consistent with paraneoplastic syndrome. I paged Sheila for the second opinion. Few minutes later, there was a knock on my door and Sheila came in.

"Come Dr castro, look at this CT. What do you see?" I asked her.

"I knew you would have called me for some work" she said with a sour face.

"What else would it be?" I said focusing my attention back on the reports.

"Oh come on Ian we'll look at it later. We should catch up like old times and I need your opinion about a case that I've been working on" she said.

"You know it very well Dr Castro that you don't need my opinion" I said looking at her.

"Is it necessary that you understand all my excuses?" She said meekly.

"Since when do you need excuses Dr Castro?" I asked.

"Since you put that wall around you and blocked all your friends outside" she said looking at me intensely.

"It happens sometimes" I said and in the meantime my phone rang. It was from the orphanage where I go very often. They told me that one of the kid is unconscious. I immediately told them that I'm coming there. I put on my coat and told Dr castro about it.

"Why do you need to go? Send an ambulance there" she said.

"That's bad Dr Castro. If he was a child of some wealthy person, would you say the same?" I said a bit offended.

"No Ian, I didn't mean that. Infact I'll go with you" she said a bit embarrassed.

"Let's go" I said. We ran outside, arranged the ambulance and sat in it. 10 mins later we reached there. I examined the child and found that child missed his insulin doses and has gone into diabetic ketoacidosis. We started the treatment brought him to the hospital to monitor him carefully. I monitored the child myself every 15 minutes. It took whole afternoon to stabilise the child. After 5 hours I decided to go into my office to have a cup of coffee.

When I reached there I saw few interns standing outside my office. More like guarding my office. When I reached there, they were shocked and their face became pale as they had seen a ghost.

"What are you doing here?" I asked them sternly.

"We were just ppppassing" they stuttered and then went away.

I entered the office and saw a girl who has put my coat over her shoulders and was sitting on the floor and looking something in the last drawer of my desk.

"Dr Hadley?" I said angrily.

She stunned and hid behind my desk. She started to crawl to the opposite side to sneak out of my office. But I went there and stood in front of her. She looked up, her green eyes filled with embarrassment. She stood up hesitantly.

"What were you doing Dr Hadley?" I asked her angrily.

"Nn..nothing sir" she stuttered and picked up a tissue paper and started cleaning my desk "I was just cleaning your desk sir. I know you appreciate cleanliness so.."

"Don't touch my things!" I said harshly.

She stopped immediately. I moved over and sat in my revolving chair.

"I thought you were just irresponsible but you are a theif too" I said looking at her intensely. She was wearing a white shirt with black pants and had my coat still on her shoulders. Her face looked innocent with little amount of makeup. Her cheeks became flustered when I called her theif.
