14. First Night Shift

Remina's POV:-

I woke up at 5 a.m and collected all my things and put it in my backpack. After completing I double checked my backpack to make sure that I don't forget anything today too. I don't want get insulted like yesterday.

Then I went to make breakfast because dad wasn't up yet. I thought about making coffee first. I was standing near the coffee machine waiting for it when dad entered the kitchen.

"Am I still dreaming or is that really you Ina?" Dad said adjusting his glasses.

"I don't want to be late, so I woke up early" I said and dad started preparing scrambled eggs and toast and said "Now you are understanding the value of time" he laughed.

After that we had breakfast and then I went into room to change into my scrubs. I picked up my backpack and white coat and went outside and drove my car. I reached there 15 minutes early and praised myself for it. Most of the parking lot was empty. I chose the best spot that was so close to hospital entrance and parked there and went inside.

Dr Max Goodwin was already there and posting the list of appointed patients to the interns on the notice board.

"Good morning Dr Goodwin" I said enthusiastically.

"Good morning Dr Hadley, you're quite early. Dr Ramsey likes people who are punctual" he said smiling.

"Yeah" I said a bit embarrassed remembering everything that happened to me yesterday.

I saw the notice board and went to check up on my patient. I took the history did the physical examination, made my diagnosis and went to Dr Khan to discuss it with him. He agreed with me and I went back to start the treatment. I checked up on my patient frequently and he was responding to the treatment. I was relaxed that my patient is fine now.

I went to the doctors room where all of my group was sitting and talking about their patients. As we all were free for some time we decided to go for lunch together and went to Dr Goodwin to ask for permission. He gave us permission for an hour. We decided to go in my car. We all went to the parking lot talking and joking.

We reached there and saw that a black range rover was parked right behind my car and I couldn't remove my car without moving that range rover.

"You parked your car in HODs parking lot?" Dr Sinan asked me shocked.

"There is a separate parking lot for HODs?" I asked them.

"Yesss" they all said in unison.

"Now what?" Dr Sarah said.

"Who's car is this by the way?" I asked them.

"Its Dr Ramsey's car!" Dr Harry exclaimed.

"GOD NO!" I said freaking out.

"We can ask him for keys to remove his car?" Dr Mark proposed.

We all decided to go to Dr Dave so he could help us with all this fiasco.
We went in his office and he was working on his computer. He looked at our distressed faces and immediately there was some mischief in his eyes.

"Why do ya'll look so constipated?" He said amused.

We told him everything and asked for his help.

"What can I do and Dr Ramsey isn't even here. He went to see a patient and I don't know when he'll return" he told us.

"So he didn't take his car, maybe he left the keys in his office" Dr Mark said.

"Maybe! But who'll cross the war zone" Dr Sarah said shuddering and everyone looked at me.

"What? Why are you all looking at me?" I said in disbelief.
