Ian's POV:-

It was 3 in the morning and I was lying in bed awake. Last night Sheila again reminded me of those memories. Whenever I try to forget it, someone reminds me of them again. I tossed and turned for a while. But got up because I'm not going to sleep again now.

Today instead of going for jogging, I took my car and went to my old house. I stopped the car in front of the gate and walked to take a closer look. The condition of house was getting worse. I visited here six months ago, when I came back to New York. And in the past six months I don't think someone visited here for once.

Look at the condition of our house dad. You gave it to people who left it and turned it into garbage.

My eyes turned watery as I took in the condition of the house. I walked towards my car with heavy steps and sat in it. I put my head over the steering wheel of my car and tears started coming out of my eyes. After a while, I wiped off my face and started the car.
Grey clouds were forming over the sky. It seemed like it was about to rain any minute.

I drove my car back towards my penthouse in haze. Anger now surfacing. I parked the car and went for jogging in the nearby park. It was secluded today because of weather. I started running to vent out my anger. It started to drizzle but I didn't stop and continued running and now even faster. After a while, the drizzle now turned into storm but it couldn't stop me. I ran and ran. After two hours, I was fully drenched and tired and didn't had power to go back. I dragged myself towards my home.

I went straight to shower. But after I came out I was lethargic. I laid on bed and called at hospital and informed them about my leave. Not wanting to think about all of it anymore, I got up and went into the library to read.

It was about noon when the door bell rang. I wondered who it was. I thought it would be max or Sheila, since they are the only two people who visit me.
I got up and went to open the door.

I saw Dr Hadley was standing awkwardly near the elevator. When she saw me she came near and stood outside the door.

"Hello Dr Ramsey" she said and there were beads of sweat on her forehead and her face was pale a bit. There was subtle blush on her face, which I think is permanent part of her face. She was wearing cherry red lip gloss that suited her really well. She was wearing red sweater shirt with black pants. Red colour suited her ivory skin tone really well.

I was too shocked to see her here at my doorstep that I forgot to ask her to come in and said "Hello Dr Hadley. You came to see me?"

"Sir are you alright. I heard that you were very sick?" She asked worriedly.

"No I wasn't VERY sick. I was a bit unwell" I said and was very amused that she asked like I was about to die. But then I realised that we were still standing in the hallway and hadn't asked her to come in.

"Come in Dr Hadley" I said and moved aside. She came in and her floral scent hit my nostrils. I asked her to sit and she sat reluctantly. She had a bouquet in her hands. I hate flowers or any plants, since I left my old house I never had any plant in my new house and if someone gave it to me I threw them in the dustbin. I hoped that she wouldn't give me that bouquet. And I was relieved when she kept holding it.

"Dr Dave told me that that you were very sick. So.." she trailed off. She was looking very embarrassed now.

"Don't you know Dr Dave" I chuckled at her innocence that she was pranked by Dr Dave.

"Dr Dave suggested that we should visit you" she tried to justify coming here. I was more amused now. I wanted to laugh but I didn't want to make her more uncomfortable.
