Chapter 11
No Longer What I used to be
It’s been a few months since I spoke again after being mute for the longest I can remember. I decided that I wasn’t going to let Tommy take Lenin from me. In my mind I have already decided to try my best to grow taller, stronger and independent. This is all so I could protect Lenin from Tommy. To have Lenin hide behind me! Milk has been my main target right now. Dusk said it should help me to get taller. I’ve been eating as much as I can too that way I could grow some muscle around my bones, it was just another goal I’ve been working towards.
“Adriel.” Hearn says snapping me out of my thoughts. Hearn has been trying to get me to speak but I refused to say anything if Tommy could hear me. He has been asking me a lot of things lately. “Tommy took Lenin to get something for dinner.”
“Okay.” I tell him opening the fridge for something to eat. The cold air coming from the icebox felt nice against my skin.
“Hey, you’re getting rather chubby.” Hearn squeezes my arms. “It kind of makes me want to hug you.” Chubby huh? I reach down to my middle and give my belly a little squeeze.
“…” I don’t really like it.
After I dropped my hands two others replaced them and made me jump. Hearn’s hands are squeezing my belly? I swat his hands. This only resulted in a playful sounding laugh. It felt pretty embarrassing so I push him away.
“It’s not too chubby, It’s pretty damn attractive if I say so myself. I like a girl with meat on her bones.” Did he just call me a girl? Hearn puts his big heavy hand on my head and made a point to annoy me with it. Twisting and tugging at my hair making my head jerk around.
“Ow-.” I push at his middle and realized it wasn’t as soft as mine. It was pretty hard and felt warm to the touch. How can someone belly be so rock hard? I rub my hands up and down his middle. Hearn stiffened up and started laughing.
“It’s like you’ve never felt a fit body before.” Hearn says pushing my hands off him and letting go of my hair. Thinking about it, I never really paid attention to how someone’s body felt. Mine is soft and smooth which is the opposite of Hearn’s his is as hard as a rock. Lenin’s body isn’t as hard and wide as Hearn’s but he’s not as squishy as me either. I smile a little. He’s perfect, not too hard and not to soft.
“Lenin doesn’t have a tummy this hard.” I tell Hearn who was now lifting up his shirt to reveal his upper torso. It’s not like I’ve never seen it before but now I’m actually paying attention to the details. Hearn is a tad bit tanned and he has no fat. None. I know this because I started poking at his body. He just stood there satisfying my curiosity. Wasn’t this the body that I had set my goal on?
I look down at my own; I’m growing in the wrong areas. I pat my stomach and pat Hearn’s. What am I doing that’s different from what Hearn is doing?
“What are you two doing?” Lenin questions his voice hiding a hint of curiosity.
