Keith X Reader || Why do you see me?

Chapter 3

"Have these plants always been here? They look beautiful." Keith asks as you walk towards your house.
"A few of them have, but most of these grew here after I came and took a little care of them.. After all there wasn't a lot for me to do since I was kind of stranded here"
You open the door and hold out your hand "After you." you tell him and he enters your house.
As you close the door Keith says "Wow this is really nice. It looks cozy."
You tell him "I'm glad you like it, I just put some things together I found on this planet, things that the people didn't want to have anymore so they left them behind."

Your interior is kind of thrown together but still it somehow fits, it must be because the things that are mixed were made by the same kind of people. The house is pretty small and you only have a few things, like a table, some chairs, you found some cutters for food, two shelves and aside from the book you're going to show Keith your most precious possession, a small, very comfortable couch thing.
You go towards a shelf to get the book you had been talking about. "Let's see, here it is. Wanna sit on the couch?" You ask Keith. He nods and sits down, you take the book and sit down beside him.
But before you look into the book he should know about your past..
"Ok, I'll just get right into it, I'll tell you my story. At least everything I remember.

I spent my childhood years living on our small but really beautiful planet Sydra, in a rather big town with maybe 200 Skydiras. I grew up with my parents and had a brother and sister. We usually played a lot with our air magic. What I remember about my parents is that my mom was an important guard for our planet. She wasn't home a lot of the time but she was really kind to us, just like my dad, who most of the time stayed home to watch over us. They both never wanted us to worry about them, they always tried to make our lives as happy as possible.

However, the Galra were starting to take over multiple planets at that time. At first, our parents acted like nothing was wrong but it became pretty clear that they would attack us soon.
Then, one day, they attacked. Back then I already knew how to fight a little, I was just about to enter my time as a guard.
Our guards were overwhelmed by the Galra, and I really wanted to do everything I could to help so I went outside and helped others. I saw lots of guards die.. my mom was one of them. She protected another guard and saved their life." You pause for a short time. Saying this out loud isn't easy.. however, you've learned to live with this.

"Of course I was shocked and remembered my brother and sister, they were younger than me and still at home. I decided to go back to them.. to protect the family I had left. On the way there I looked for my dad. I arrived home and saw him there, he was fighting against a soldier, protecting by siblings.
I managed to get rid of the soldier with my air magic but I wasn't able to.. save my dad. Another soldier came and shot him. The laser would've hit me if he didn't stand before me. He protected me."

At this point you try to describe everything as unemotionally as you can, to not be reminded of the pain you felt back then.
You look at the floor.. it still hurts.
"A bomb exploded near our home and I got separated from my brother and sister. The last time I saw them was right before that bomb. I remember.. how scared they looked.
Then an elder women took me with her. I was barely able to walk at this point, exhausted and psychologically overwhelmed..
She showed me an ancient spaceship and told me to use it. I wanted to get my siblings back very badly but the women threw me into the spaceship and set a course for it. Before I knew it I was in space. It was a really fast spaceship. After that.." you sigh. You've told him the worst part now.. phew.

"For a few days I was lost.. I didn't want to do anything, I even wanted to just.. die right there." You notice Keith looking at you with deep sadness on his face.. you don't want him to feel bad for you, he must have enough worries on his own already.. but still, you want to tell him the truth.
"But then after some self reflection.. thinking about my family and how sad they'd be seeing me right now I picked up hope. I decided I wanted to try and find other Skydiras, and help anyone I saw facing an attack like the one I did. So I carried on flying throughout space in the ship.

Soon I learned that no one could see me, which was very hard for me at first.. but I learned to live with myself, to get over what happened in the past and look for new possibilities. Anything I could do to help others. I didn't find any other Skydiras and for a long time, I helped anyone I could in my invisible state while travelling from planet to planet..

The Galra did some horrible things to some people.. but when I saw people from the Blade of Marmora and other Galra who were not part of the attacks and working against them I realized that it's not the Galra that are bad, anyone has the ability to do evil things. I tried my best to not get upset about my situation and let the evil get the best of me even though suffering still was out there.

Seeing so many wonderful planets really helped with that. And then I met my wolf. I met him on this whale, one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen.. I also was reminded of my parents there, it's kind of hard to explain.." Keith interrupts you "I know exactly what you mean I got my wolf on one of these whales too.." He smiles softly at you his expression still worried. You nod at him smiling.

"Around 5 years ago I then crashed here with my spaceship. It wasn't the same as the one the elder women got me in, I switched spaceships multiple times over the.. around 600 years I was out there.
My spaceship didn't work anymore and soon I found out that the people here don't have any other ones. I was trapped.

But then I got here and saw this place, I realized no one would be able to get up here unless.. they could teleport or come with a spaceship so I decided to settle down here. I still went to the city regularly, I also got to know Voltron through that.. That's.. phew.. I think that's everything.."
Relieved you look at the book and then towards Keith.
