Keith X Reader || Why do you see me?

Chapter 25

Bigggg time skip!

About a year has passed now,
You've continued to travel through space going on different missions, with or without Keith, Krolia or Acxa, you've also visited earth by now, seeing how the paladdins live there was super cool even if they were the only ones to see you there.

Figuring out if there are any other Skydiras out there and if there's a way to make you visible again has been a constant side project you and mainly Keith have been working on, Pidge and Krolia helped a bit as well.
You also remembered your ability to give away years to live and wanted to try it but somehow it didn't work. You felt like something was missing to do it.

You know that Keith and all the other people you know are going to die before you do, even if the Galra and Alteyans generally live a lot longer, additionally Keith is only half Galra which leads to him not living as long. If he and the people you know want to, you'd love to give some of your years to live away to them, even to some people you don't know that well, who may need it. You kind of want to live about as long as Keith does, that way you can spend most of your life together. But right now, that seems impossible. You've tried not to worry about it too much and enjoy everything you experience.

You and Keith are going back from a mission you and your wolves went on alone right now, in an area in space you've never been to.
As you're passing by many planets you see lots of them in ruins. They must have been destroyed and no one returned to them.

You and Keith are sitting in the control room, you have the book you still carry with you, trying to understand one passage. Up until now you know that invisibility is something that can occur with Skydiras when they disconnect from the world around them and from others of their kind. The war with the Galra, leaving all your people behind.. being hopeless in the spaceship.. that's what must have caused your invisibility up until now is what you think.

The book was also helpful in telling you that when a Skydira connects deeply to magical creatures, they can put a part of themselves in it. That's what must have made the other ones able to see you through your wolf. You're forever thankful for him.
However, how to get out of invisibility is what you've found no information on up until now.

As you continue to travel through space your wolf suddenly starts to glow.
"Wow, what is it?" you ask him.
Keith says "Something.. something must be out here." Your wolf, who seems very excited nods at him.
"Ok, can you lead us to it?" you ask your wolf, wondering what it is.
You end up on one of the planet's that are in ruins.. could it be that there are some survivors here?

Keith, the wolves and you make your way through the ruins.
Some of the structures look.. familiar to you. It could just be that you've seen some similar structures on the many planets you've been on before.
"Does this look kinda familiar to you as well? Have you seen similar buildings like the ones here before too or am I the only one?" you ask Keith. "Could be, I'm not sure to be honest.. But I don't remember being here before." he tells you.

Your wolf glows even brighter now. There has to be something.. or someone out here.
Your wolf starts to run now, "Hey wait, what..." you say and start to run as well, just like Keith and his wolf. Suddenly your wolf stops. "You sure are excited huh?" you ask him, petting him.
"We have to teleport." you tell Keith, your wolf just signalled you this. He nods, putting a hand on his wolf but then says "Wait, my wolf doesn't really know where to!" Weird.. only your wolf feels all of this.

"Ok then we'll teleport all together. We've done this like four times before remember?"
You tell Keith, once you've done it in training and three times in battle if you remember correctly, it's kind of funny how rarely you've actually used this.
Keith nods and you all teleport.

You find yourselves in a cave. Suddenly you feel stones around you rumbling.. they start to roll over.
Quickly you hold Keith and create a wind blow around you, shielding yourself and the wolves from the falling and rolling stones.
"Thank you, good reflexes." Keith tells you as you let go of him "I've got them from you, from all the training." you tell him smiling.

Then you finally look around. You're in a cave, no doubt. There are some crystals.. they're beautiful. Wait..

"Keith.. I remember.. these crystals."
He looks at you wondering and asks
"From.. when?"
"They.. they were on my planet.. where I'm from.. " You run up to them holding your hand against one. Yeah, these are the crystals. The crystals you used to see on each soldier, they had it in their weapons, and a common gift was a crystal bracelet or necklace back then.

Keith comes up to you.. "Do you think we're.. on your planet?" You look into the crystals and see your reflection.. Then suddenly you see the reflection of your brother and sister in there.. they're laughing.
Shocked you step back, almost falling but Keith catches your shoulders from behind, holding you up.
"Whoa, are you alright?" he asks worried.
"We're.. here. I just.. saw the reflection of my brother and sister in that crystal.. a flashback."
