Keith X Reader || Why do you see me?

Chapter 16

You stare at Keith.. your heart beating faster and you can't help but think about all these thoughts you've had about him over the last weeks. He's always in your head. You've already realized it by now but you really want to tell him.. that you love him. You've also thought that he might.. love you as well. Especially ever since he gave you those beautiful flowers back on that planet. Flowers.. suddenly an image of your past pops up in your head. It's all blurry but you see your hair.. in a braid.. it has flowers in it. You hear a voice.. the voice of your sister. "A flowery braid!" You see your brother smiling at you and then you hear your sister say "Its our signature hairstyle just for you!" The flashback ends.

A flowery braid, huh?.. Wait.. You still have the flowers from that planet.
You look at Keith, he looks a little nervous. You didn't talk since he told you all those amazing things.
You put one of your hands on his.
"Please just wait here for a short time, I'll be right back." You smile at him, stand up and quickly go towards his room.

You feel a little bad for leaving him like that but you'll go right back. And.. yes, you'll tell him. You feel like you have to. You really want to. But first.. You grab some of the flowers Keith gave you and carefully place them in your braid.. it really makes it look.. so beautiful. Then you take two small flowers with you and quickly go back to Keith.
He's standing there, looking at the stars.. You sigh. Here goes nothing..

You walk towards him, he turns around and looks at you. You get up closer to him, still holding two flowers in your hands.
He just stares at you, his eyes somehow.. smiling.. they're sparkling with that happiness you love seeing in them.

"I just.. I'm sorry for just leaving you there but I got a flashback.. my siblings.. they used to put flowers into my braid. The flowery braid.. they would call it their signature hairstyle, just for me. I remembered those flowers you gave me.." You look at your braid then at the flowers then back at Keith.

"You.. got a flashback? That's amazing. I'm so glad.. those flowers make it even better. So you kept them."
He blushes and smiles and you tell him "Of course.. thank you so much.. for them and for making this braid. You just.. unlocked a memory I still had somewhere inside me which means a lot to me." You smile at him, he still smiles.

Then you look at the flowers in your hand. You get a little closer to him and carefully put the flowers into his soft hair.. Good thing it's this fluffy they might not stay there otherwise.
He's surprised but smiles softly.. Just like when he hugged you back on that planet and you ran your fingers through his hair.

"You.. mean a lot to me, Keith.. I.. I didn't think I'd ever care as much for a person again after becoming invisible as I do for you. But.. you're.. I've already told you you're amazing.. and pretty. You're such a caring, strong, selfless, understanding and unique person.. and so much more.
The way you are towards others.. just by yourself.. and also towards me.. You just told me how much you love seeing me smile. That means so much to me and I feel the same way about you.. seeing you happy always makes my day.
I just.. love you. With all of my heart."

You look right into his eyes while saying all of this. The whole time he just stares at you.. He looks amazed. As you finish you see him smile. His eyes sparkling with joy. The same way they'd do when you both were training, eating, or just talking together..
"I love you too. every little thing about you." He says, softly.

You both smile and he holds his arms out to embrace you.. You pull into a tight hug. You close your eyes. Just feeling him there with you.. knowing he cares about you the way you care about him..

"You make me so happy. The way we can.. just talk about everything.. but also just having you stand beside me.. holding you right now.. it comforts me in a way nothing else can." You hear him say.
You chuckle and tell him "You know it's crazy to think that in this entire universe.. we found each other. Us both having these wolves.. us both falling in love with each other." He chuckles as well, still holding you tight.

You both pull away to look at each other, still holding the other one in your arms.
"Keith.. I want to promise you something ok?"
He nods, smiling.
"Whatever happens.. Ill be there for you.. I'll protect you.. I'll do whatever I can to help you.. even if you don't want my help. I'll care for you. I'll want to know if there's anything bothering you. Because of how much you mean to me."

"I'll accept that promise.. but only if you let me promise the same thing to you. Being there for you, helping you , protecting you, caring for you, listening when something bothers you, no matter what." He tells you. You smile and say "Okay. I promise."
"I promise" He says as well.
You both put your foreheads against each other, closing your eyes.

Then your wolves suddenly start walking around you. You both look at them, then at each other and laugh.
Man, he's cute..
"You look adorable.. especially with those flower in your hair you know?" You tell Keith. that's right, now you can tell him about how cute he looks whenever you want, you won't have to worry about him not liking you back anymore, you think. However, saying these things still makes you nervous.. must be because it comes from deep within your heart.

Keith looks at you a little surprised, blushing.
"Thank you. You know I've thought you look cute ever since I met you.." He tells you.
Ah, now you feel yourself blushing too.. guess that nervousness doesn't just go away.. it's kind of a good thing though, it makes everything more.. special.
"Same here.. I thought the same of you.." You say as you chuckle silently, looking at the stars.

Your wolves come to each of you. You feel yours telling you it's time to sleep. He's right, you've talked with Keith for quite some time now.
"We should probably get to sleep" Keith says, his wolf must have signalled him the same thing "That was an eventful evening.."
You nod. "A beautiful evening.." you say smiling, while you both head to the bedroom. There you both lay down in your usual places.

"Well.. I'm super tired. Good night.. And sweet dreams.." you say.
"Good night.. And hey.."
"hmmh?" You ask.
"I love you.."
You chuckle.
"I love you too.."
with these words you fall asleep kinda wondering if what you just experienced wasn't a dream already. (It wasn't a dream don't worry!)
