Chapter 3: Love is in the Air

Bow on hand, he reached for an arrow on the other. 'Green should suit this one', he thought and he pulled, and it hit right at the target, it always does. 'Hmmm, this should be red', taking another arrow, he aimed it and hit at the woman pulling out weeds growing by the side of her plants.

In an instant, the guy that got hit with the green arrow and his next door neighbor with the red arrow, hit and glittered as though it vanished into her, looked at each other, smiling they reached out for each other and locked their lips. It was a long awaited moment he always wanted to have with her, and she with him, but could never. Now there just, nothing stopping them from feeling the love, the want in the air. The sprinkler nearby went off, he dipped her and kissed her harder. It was beautiful, it was like a movie.

Cupid smiled, he chose more arrows and hit more people. People with a clear disagreement with each other, people with that wanting look in their eyes, even the postman and the angry dog that's waiting to  chew off his shoes. All in love, all is well. Everything is so beautiful, all in order, hearts fat with nothing but love. Must be tasty.

Few moments ago, he did not exist, just a myth. Now here he stands, feeding the hungry hearts love. But no, his work here is not done. He feels the pull, like a magnet on the ground, pulling his feet slowly, the closer he gets, he stronger the pull. He followed the invisible force right to the Salvatore School. The winged man stood there, facing the chained gates. Smiling, he spread his wings and just with a little prompt movement, he was up in the air, his wings beating fast, carrying him forward over the gates and into the Salvatore School.

'Hmmm, this one is tricky. I got just the perfect one for you', he thought as he smiled and shot one at the girl walking out of the main building.

"Bro, quick, this way. He went into the woods", Landon said as he ran. Raf followed after him. Landon has been trying to see if he has flying powers. Practising from a trampoline doesn't really seem to help but, atleast it's less hurtful. He got Rafael and Wade to help him but now he's thinking maybe he should try it alone. His friends are not exactly supportive about him trying to fly.

Hope felt a slight tinge on her back and in seconds, she felt overwhelmed with feelings. Feelings she didn't know was real, or didn't even consider it before, just buried it deep. Feelings she didn't even want to think about. She tried to shake it off, but it didn't do any good. Just when he was about to go find him, she heard rustling sound coming from the woods and she ran towards the source of the commotion going on.

Rafael was on the ground, his head bleeding and Landon is trying to fight this guy with bow and arrows, trying to reach him from the ground. The guy was up in the air, his wings beating behind him, keeping him steady on air while he's trying to aim at Landon.

She looked at Landon, then at Rafael, back to Landon. Her heart swelled with feelings, she stood there, unable to move but she knew she had to do something.

"Hope!", Landon called as he turned back to see her standing beside Rafael.

She snapped out of her trance like moment.
Her palms facing the man in the air, she spoke, "Descendit!". He fell to the ground with a loud thud, arrows spilling everywhere. Landon quickly jumped on him. Kaleb and MG was there in a second, with vamp speed, helped Landon hold him down.

Hope walked towards the winged guy, dressed in white, "And who the hell you're supposed to be?". She asked.

Amused, he only answered "Seriously?".

Hope got MG and Kaleb to take Raf to his room. She restrained Cupid and brought him to the gym to interrogate him. Since he's not giving out any answers, she clipped his wings, put him in a barrier spell and went on to get answers out of Alyssa with an arrow she got from him. If she can't handle the Cupid problem now, she could atleast make her spill about the ascendant. If she won't speak, maybe this would make her, she thought. Landon was put in charge of getting answers from Cupid. Kaleb and Wade were researching on him and MG. MG had a very important task, although unwilling, he agreed to go on with it.
