Judging a person doesn't define who they are. It defines who you are.
~ Wayne DyerShaming: Make (someone) feel ashamed
Shaming is something so freaking common nowadays that every single person has faced it once in their lifetime. Be it Body Shaming, Online Shaming, Doxing etc etc.
You, me, your friends, your family, once in their life, they must've faced it.
People just want you to be "perfect" in their way. But
If you are overweight, you are shamed.
If you are underweight, congrats you are still shamed. If you are not a nerd, you are shamed.
If you are a nerd, again you are shamed. If you love to think about a world that doesn't exist, you are shamed.
If you are over realistic, hey welcome to the group of shamed people. The point is, you just can't escape it. But we surely can stand up to it.
I recently conducted a survey about the said topic. And here are some of the results.
♡ Type of shaming: Body Shaming
My dad's body shames me.
I was really skinny till grade 6 but then lockdown and stuff happened. All the staying at home made me gain weight rapidly which also resulted in a few stretch marks.
Now, I'm constantly getting called out to lose weight. I mean even though I want to lose weight, I just can't figure out how to do that and all the shaming just makes me lose any small bit of motivation that I get. Any sort of shaming should result in pressing charges against the assailant. The victim should never feel small in front of anyone.

♡ Type of Shaming: Slut Shaming
Q. Have you ever saved anyone from Shaming?
Ans. No, I have not, I was a kid when I first experienced shaming, and back then, because of all the sexism that was forcefully rooted into me I thought that the woman was in the wrong

♡ Most common type of Shaming: Public Shaming
♡ Type of Shaming: Verbal
When I was in 4th grade I had hairy legs, (I'm Indian, so naturally I have a lot of hair) and this girl would always call me monkey legs and stuff like that
Q. Please share your experience if you have ever shamed anyone. Did you regret it?
Ans.I believe I once shamed this guy last year because he was short, (I meant it in a jokingly manner, but idk if he knew that) and of course I regret it, I wouldn't want anyone to feel band about themselves because of me.
I honestly think that shaming isn't one of the the worst forms of bullying, bruises will eventually go away, and in no way shape or form am I saying physical abuse is better, but words are one thing that stick with you forever, which is why we have to be so careful with what we say.

As always, I have a self written poem:
Believe me you are amazing
and perfect the way you are.You deserve the world,
the moon, the stars.
And every power. You deserve every ounce of love.
And I know your life is rough.
But the hard times will pass,
And you'll see the greener grass.Don't be sad,
Those people are mad.
There's nothing wrong with you.
It's just they don't know what you're going through.Talk to me,
Your family,
Or friends.
But don't let anyone bully you.~ Deeva [ Doglovingfeminist ]

Shaming can result in negative psychological effects and devastating consequences, regardless of the punishment being justifiable or not. It could cause depression, suicidal thoughts and other severe mental problems.
So, I beg you to think before you judge someone. Because one wrong sentence from your mouth might result in someone's life!
