Inequality. What came to your mind when you read that word?
Wanna know what comes to mine? Someone harassing females. It has been a mindset for many of us for inequality. Because people discriminate between girls and boys so often. Every 9 out of 10 girls have faced discrimination in their lives.
But, the question is, why is it so?
The answer is very simple, people 'consider' boys more powerful and capable of earning and decision making. But this is just a big fat lie.
How are boys more powerful if girls go through the immense pain of bringing a new life into this world and let's not forget the monthly cramps. Boys can't even think of getting that pain.
How are they better at earning money, cause let us not forget many capable women earn money for their household, some even raise a child all alone. I'd like to give an honourable mention to every female who has ever fought for herself and every female who doesn't need a man to stand for her.
The last thing. Decision making. I would like to give the example of my country's ex-defence and current finance minister. Nirmala Sitaraman. She heads the financial department for a whole country. And you need immense decision making power to do it.
Ever heard of female infanticide? Female infanticide is the practice of killing females when they are in their mother's womb or after they are just born. Doesn't it sound wrong? Every human has the right to live. I treat cockroaches(I actually like to play with them) better than some people treat girls.
So, why not teach your son to respect females, instead of teaching your daughter to behave. I know this is a mentoring book but this topic is not something in which I can talk to girls and say "It would be fine and it's ok" I can just ask you to talk to society about it and ask them this simple question, "Why are girls discriminated against because of their gender?" And when they have no answer talk to them about this. That way only we can bring a new change.
So today, at this moment let's take a pledge to treat females nicely. From today onwards you all won't discriminate. And raise girls to be educated, bold and wild.
I would like to mention some of these great females that I absolutely adore. Mother Teresa, Rani Lakshmibai, Michelle Obama, My mother, your mother, and many many more.
I hope this helped and if you have any questions, go ahead and ask them in the comments and please tag me.
