"There is sports in science and science in sports". Many types of forces are applied while playing a sport, we might think there is nothing much. Although, force of gravity, force of friction, force of tension, force of air resistance are put in. Inertia in badminton can be seen when a shuttle is stuck on a serve. When the shuttle is dropped it is moving at a relatively slow speed until it acts upon by the racquet. It will move in that direction unless acted upon by an external force, for example gravity. When the shuttle is in the air and the person smashes, the harder and faster you hit it, it will have more acceleration. In a smash a force is applied to the shuttle, the equal and opposite force is coming back through the racquet causing the bounce backwards. The only force acting on an object is gravity, it is in free fall. Then the racquet and a shuttle were dropped at the same time, at the same height, they would land at the same time. Fascinating Right? Friction is very important, it is between the surface of the court and shoes facilitates the easy movement of the player. If you hit the shuttle with the badminton racquet they exert forces on each other, when the racquet hits the shuttle it will move in the opposite direction. Interesting? Projectile motion is a type of motion Where an object is thrown and in this case the shuttle it makes contact with the racquet if more force is exerted the shuttle covers a greater distance in lesser time, if less force is put in it takes more time to cover a smaller distance. A shuttle has a high drag projectile. The reason behind the skirt, due to the drag adding gravity, it starts falling towards the ground. These racquets are made of agile swings with flexibility and mass to allow tension to produce various shots. The speed of the shuttle determines the opposing players action. While swinging the racquet as we move it slowly first to a lot faster. The gravity's influence on the shuttle, without that it would keep going. Young Issac Newton was sitting in his garden when an apple fell and thats when he came up with his theory. The three laws of motion were an object continues to be under the state of uniform motion unless an external force acts on it. 2nd, force is a product of mass and acceleration. 3rd, for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Exercise is important because it improves heart and lung efficiency, reducing your chances of heart disease. "My power are ordinary, only my application brings me success"- ISSAC NEWTON
